Sadly, again we start the day with one who has rejected God. And
as this one is connected with a mosque, it deeply troubles The Islamic
People. However, they respect God's commands and will see to it
that this individual does not enter Paradise, or those that are
associated with him.

Dear Alice writes again. Here's what she has to say.
"Please thank Pope Paul for the letter to me, it was inspiring, and
what he said that most of my questions are excellent .
Thanks for all the other answers too. "
Pope John Paul II is very pleased, Alice, that you accepted his
comments well. It is so hard for him to have to perform the
mission that God has given him. But he will do his duty and knows
why God must make this stand. As he says, he would like nothing
better than to have Benedict accept God's reforms and be
glorified. Though he can never return to God because of his
stubbornness, John Paul still wishes that he has eternal life. I
think that is the wish of almost everyone!
"And Elgard thanks for the correct light year information. I did not
look it up myself, I just asked someone how far Alpha Centauri was and
they gave me the answer."
Elgard sends his
regards also and says "No problem!" Many a time we've got
information from people, used it, and found the experts weren't quite
as knowledgeable as they were supposed to be! Happens to the best
of us!
"The reason I laughed about Caylee
to be made a saint, is that that process takes a very long time, and
also about the miracles she has done. All the Saints were alive when
they made their miracles as far as I know. Pope Paul is not following
that and saying Caylee made miracles but only after her death. I do not
think that counts for sainthood just because she is doing things in the
afterlife, it does not fly with the current Pope or the church just
because you email him letters about this."
In
answer to this Alice, John Paul gave a good laugh and said "Dear one,
the nun that claimed that I healed her made that claim some time after
I had come to The Kingdom Of God! Many saints are proclaimed with
miracles that happened after their death, especially the popes that did
nothing extraordinary in their lifetimes. Reports of saints
performing miracles are regular. Why do you think people pray to them?
Because they're looking for miracles and believe the saints can provide
them. Which isn't totally untrue. They do help the living.
" I said to you Gerald, that you could get into trouble emailing the
Pope, that is all I meant. I do not want you to get in trouble with the
secret service again."
Alice, I have no concern of
getting in trouble with The Secret Service again! Their last
little attempt to discourage religious freedom and freedom of speech
was a total disaster that we're still taking advantage of. I have
no worry about government agencies whatsoever! Actually, they've
been rather helpful now and then.
While
going through some material this morning we came across one of those
sad notations in history that is totally twisted and bears no
resemblance to the truth whatsoever. It told how Jews were beaten
at King Richard I's coronation for bringing him gifts and that mobs
murdered Jews believing Richard had ordered it. I asked him how
all of this had come about, because I knew full well, he was not anti
semitic, that knights that fought with him on the crusades were Jewish
and that he had many Jewish associates.
Richard explained that this whole thing was because of
miscommunication. It is true, he did not believe Jews should
attend Christian ceremonies. But he had arranged for a Jewish
delegation to meet with him after the coronation and present him with
gifts. Unfortunately some of his staff were not aware of this
agreement, and when the Jewish delegation appeared, mistreated them,
stripping and flogging them, though they insisted they had Richard's
permission to be there. Richard did not find out until he became
curious as to why the delegation had not appeared and inquired,
whereupon he severely disciplined the aides that had acted so
inappropriately. As soon as he heard of the riots he sent his people to
protect Jewish families. And he, himself, went out and rescued several
individuals.
Sadly he was too late to save
a dear friend, which caused him to take immediate retaliation against
his murderers. But somehow when history recorded this incident,
only the negative aspects were recorded. The efforts that Richard
put forth to correct this situation were hardly mentioned!
History has a habit of recording the worst things about someone and not
the good. Unfortunately the best of men can have weak and
ignorant followers that can do terrible things. That is the
nature of the world, the nature of rule. But that people believe
these stories greatly troubles Richard, and he wishes the facts of the
matter would be better known. You can be assured we will do our
best to make sure they are. Every time we come across some
historical record like this where good men are badly represented, we
will do our best to make the truth known.
Got a nice response from Wikipedia which we hope proves factual.

I
read that you are now 4' 11" tall. I have always been 4' 11" tall. So
far still the same height. Some day we will be 4" 9" if we get too old.
Then will we have to sit in a child carseat ????"
Well, actually, Alice, I haven't been but we've known people of small
stature that have used child seats because they actually say it's more
comfortable riding in a car with them rather than being jostled
about. We do not know how widespread this practice is, but we
would say it does have some practicality.
