Just because I'm male doesn't mean all my heroes are male.  We lost a champion with the death of Betty Shabazz, the widow of Malcolm X.  She could have probably rode on her husband's fame and been a moderate leader in the black community.  But instead she strove to better herself.  She acquired an education, found out what was going on in the community, and strived to make it a better place, not just for her own people, not just for women but for men as well.  It is with ironic sadness that her death was caused by one of her own blood, of her own house, one corrupted by our permissive society, so that he cared only about himself, and did not appreciate what others were trying to do for him.
It is doubtful justice will be done and he will be properly punished for his crime.  There are those that will say in their misguided sickness, that he was just a confused young man, not responsible for his actions.  Such can never be true.  We are ALL responsible for our actions, we are all held accountable for what we do.
Betty Shabazz goes to receive the praise she is justly due.  Let us pray in time, her murderer comes to understand and regret what he has done, before he finds a fate he is not going to enjoy.

If there was ever a great Soul on this world it was Jacques Costeau!  He was one of the first to sound the wake up cry, to tell the world that we were destroying with our pollution and our reckless destruction of sea life  was of value beyond measure and that we were dooming future generations with our uncaring abandonment.
His greatest legacy will be the love he inspired in others for the sea.  The understanding he gave was that it was not just something to be used for our own benefit, but a living, pulsing, vibrant thing that needed to be nurtured and protected, and saved for future generations.
Jacques Costeau never considered himself a hero but many who have come to hold his dream will remember him as one.  Good voyage, Jacques!  May those you have helped protect greet you with the joy you have given the world!

I have always considered Robert Mitchem a great actor. It is hard for me to believe he never won an Academy Award!  He played some really great roles.  It seems like every day we lose more of The Great Ones and are left with the mediocre.  No substance leftovers.  The quality of Robert's acting will be sorely missed.

Charles Kuralt is a reporter I always enjoyed because he went out into the country looking for ordinary people.  He didn't make his reputation interviewing the great and the powerful.  He made his work by showing the world that the ordinary man was something special too, and that you didn't need to be famous to be of value.  There are few like Charles.  As I said before, we are losing the Great Ones with every passing hour and what is left behind doesn't seem to be all that spectacular.  We can hope that the vacuum will be filled, but there does not seem to be much available to fill it.  Good luck, Charles!  We will miss your special reporting!

Many of the radio stations that have called us about Jesus' order for his people to leave California have asked the question "Why is He picking on California and Hawaii?  There are other places where the evils of drug addiction, homosexuality, and racism are also a problem."
And this is most certainly true!  But California and Hawaii seem to be the focal points where The Dark Ones are gathering their forces.  Outward from them the tentacles of their evil spread in the attempt to bring the world into their way of thinking.  That is why ALL The Great Lords of The Spirit Realm have turned Their Powers against these areas.  This is where the infection is greatest.  This is the area that must be cut off from the rest of the body and destroyed, so that the infection does not spread and destroy the ENTIRE body.
This is why these two places have been singled out for special attention, that by dealing with the infection here, it will make it possible to save the REST of the body, later.
The Great Givers Of Wisdom do not do things merely to be spiteful.  When they give an instruction They have good and sound reasons for it.  It is the folly of man that they do not listen.
