We have been asked to get some comments on rather on not Tim McVeigh should get a military burial.  We put the question out to The Spirit Realm and it was Gen. MacArthur of the 1940s Pacific Campaign that responded as a spokesman for all military veterans.
"This question deeply divides us," he began.  "the split is almost even.  Many feel that because of this man's splendid military service he should be given a soldier's honors.  They have some belief in his feelings that the American government has, in many ways, betrayed its people, and he acted in frustration over the deaths of many innocent people who were merely standing for their rights.
The rest of us believe that the nature of his crime was so severe and so unsoldierly that it can not, in any way, be condoned.  That his betrayal of the innocent took away any honors that he was due from his country.  A soldier does not attack babies.  Only a coward commits such acts.  In war innocents are often killed, but this was not war, and cannot be condoned.
Perhaps this is not a definitive answer to your inquiry.  I can give you no majority opinion.  But I have tried to express the feelings on both sides.  I CAN say, there is one thing that the majority of us agree on.  This man MUST forfeit his life for justice to be done.  His acts are too heinous, too appalling for any other fate.  This is the majority opinion of those who have served in The Armed Forces of The United States.  But They all ask God to have mercy on his Soul."
We thank Gen. MacArthur for his comments and America's Veterans for taking the time to answer the inquiry.

JULY 24, 1997

We wish Andrew Cunanan had left a message telling why he did what he did. Maybe he did, and it has been destroyed.  Let us just say he had an incredible reason for his rage, far beyond the reasons stated in the press.  But where he left no message, though he was encouraged to do so, we think it best to leave it alone.  Maybe others will eventually let the world know why he was so angry. But right now we will only insure the world he is at peace, and on his way back to where he belongs. And he has actually done a lot for mankind. Though it's too bad he had to do it in the way he did.
Sometimes justice must be carried by those outside the law.  This is a tragic truth, but it is still a truth, nonetheless.
