THE SPIRITS SPEAK

Our interview this month is with the Spirit of St. Thomas, called The Doubter. His answers are channeled through Speaker Gerald A. Polley.

1. St. Thomas, how do you feel about being known as the world's most famous skeptic?

A. First of all, I hate that word! I do not particularly know why, but it seems to me people should not invent new words when they have perfectly good ones to express the same thought! It seems a great waste of effort. But to answer your question this does not disturb me at all. Doubt is very healthy, used wisely. It keeps a person from following the wrong path. Unfortunately humankind does not use it wisely.

2. Would you explain to us further what you mean?

A. People doubt The Word Of God. They doubt God. But they do not doubt evil men who come up with the most preposterous ideas and claim that they are The Will Of God. Instead they accept what these men say readily, and consider it inspired of God. This is pure folly!

3. Can you give us some examples of what you're talking about?

A. Yes! Recently one of your churches have been granting men who have been married for many years divorces on the grounds that their marriages were never consummated, even though they have several children to prove that this claim is totally preposterous. Why the priests of this church are really granting these divorces is because these men pay them bribes to do so. The members of this church know full well what is happening. They know this is evil, against the will of God, but they do not rise up, they do not banish these evil priests from their church, they do not punish these men who have broken God's Divine Law. Instead, they accept what these men teach and say it is The Will Of God, and lose their place in Heaven. This is an example of what I mean. And, too, this same priesthood has said it is acceptable for parents of those who have children engaged in sodomy to accept those children, keep them in their home, and keep them in their congregation. They do not doubt these mens' lies, they do not question that this is blasphemy against the Teachings of God that clearly say such as these will be put out from among you.
True, God does not want you to despise your children. As much as you can try to bring them back to His Love And Glory, but you cannot condone when they do evil. You cannot accept what is popular, when you know it is against the way of God. These are examples of what I mean, dear Demetrius.

4. I think I understand your words, Thomas. I hope others will. I understand you wanted to speak to us concerning your death. What is there about it, or, its record of it that disturbs you?

A. Only, dear friend, that the whole recording of it in history is a complete absurdity, made up by the evil priesthood to make me more of a martyr for their cause. The truth be that I died a contented and happy old man, surrounded by the followers of The Lord, and, the children of my third wife, as so many of my brothers before me. Those recording ourlives did not think it appropriate I died such a contented and happy death in The Service of Our Lord. They did not think it glorified their Lord enough, so they made up these ridiculous stories that now circulate. The evil of these men is endless and profound.  Do they not realize that God rewards those who faithfully serve Him, not just in The Afterlife, but in the material life, besides?
There is no greater evil than to change The Glory that God has done to suit the whim of those who worshi; in a particular fellowship.  By putting in their own lies instead of the truth they take away the Glory of what God has done.

5.  Very, very interesting!  Thank you!  is there anything else you wish to say?

A.  Only to repeat what I have said before.  Doubt man, do not doubt God.  Do not close your eyes and let men do evil.  Do not stand before The Lord and have him ask "Why did you permit this when you knew it was against The Father's Will?  Why did you deny The Glory Of God?  It is one of the worst questions a Soul in Judgment can be asked.

*  *  *

Thank you, Thomas.  I am sure you have given our readers much to think about.  I know I will ponder what you have said for a long time.  Blessed be!

A.  Thought it always perplexes me, Demetrius, that you are not of God's House, may His Blessings be bountiful unto you, and may there be peace between His House and, yours!

So must it be, Thomas, so must it be!
