I got asked one of those questions the other day that doesn't really
come to mind unless somebody asks it, and then it takes a lot of pondering
to give an answer.
A co-worker asked, 'Can the servants of demons heal, because Christ was
always being accused of being possessed by a demon?'
I wish very much I could answer no, but the sad truth is, if a demon has
a constant food supply, if its servants kill for it regularly, it can store
a great surplus of energy and perform many wonders with it...mimicking the
powers of a Bearer Of Light.
This is what makes it so difficult, sometimes, to expose those working
for The Dark Ones, because, by using The Power that the demon gives them,
they can masquerade as Those serving The Light.
The Apostles quickly ran into men and women such as these as they began
their Work. They had to fight from the very beginning, against the Dark
Ones who were already using the name of Christ for evil.
The healings a demon performs are not usually long lasting, but their
victims usually die of other causes before the fact that the healing was
not permanent can be noticed.
There are warning signs exposing those who deal with The Dark Ones.
If they constantly change their philosophies to please their followers,
be very suspect.
If they request large donations to perform healings, depart from them
quickly!
If they teach that others must be hated if they do not follow their particular
teachings, have nothing to do with them. They are not the Servants Of The
Light.
The Powers they manifest do not come from The Living Glory, but from the
agony of the dying on which they feed, and you do not want to be their next
meal.
Well, it's time for the old financial report!
We were hoping this year, it was going to be a good one, but then disaster
struck.
Voices has spent $3,498 this year. It has only taken in $135.66. that
leaves us a deficit of $3,362.34.
Our personal income this year was $10,049.13. Our personal expenses were
$7,507.38.
Our outstanding debt is $820.89, almost exactly what we owe on the computer!
If things had gone well we would have only owed a couple of hundred dollars
this year, but the $425.00 that we were ripped off from our original web
site, and being forced to move because our landlord was raising our rent
$175.00 a month, threw us into difficulty. Plus that, simultaneously several
of our sponsors ran into difficulties and could lend us no assistance.
But all is not bleak. Though we are having difficulties our new web site
is growing daily and we are getting good visitation.
Hopefully next year will be better. As a dear friend of mine used to say-
"It couldn't get any worse!"
"A good reputation is more valuable than money."
