Stories on alternative health, healing, spiritualism are in America's newspapers
and magazines almost on a daily basis. Time magazine did cover stories
on alternative medicine and most recently on faith and healing. U.S.
News and World Report's story told of a major New York hospital studying
the effects of energy field manipulation. The diversity of publications
even includes Mirabella magazine with a story on prayer and healing.
Alternative medicine's healing therapies include message, yoga, color, sound,
herb, magnetic balancing, aura cleansing and visualization. Like any treatment
or therapy, mainstream or alternative, no one treatment works all the time
for every person. However many therapists have a common link in how they
measure the impact and success of their work- aura photography.
Developed from the concept of Kirlian photography, the aura camera measures
the enegy the body is radiating. The energy is measured, using the acupressure
points in the hand, as a frequency. It translates that frequency to the
corresponding color and puts it on film. Many therapists believe that they
can discern problems in health, emotional, physical and spiritual, by looking
at the color, clarity, size and shape of the aura. Before and after pictures
are for many therapists, an invaluable tool. They use the photographs as
a record of the clients progress and as an indicator of what additional work
might need to be done.
More and more holistic centers and other health related businesses are having
aura camera sessions at their open houses, expos and events. They feel the
aura camera gives them the ability to demonstrate to their customers the
therapeutic effect of their work. It is estimated that over a quarter of
a million aura photographs were taken last year world wide.
The camera is also used by psychics who feel the camera reveals aspects of
a person's personality, their past and their future. There is wide spread
acceptance of what the colors which relate to the energy frequency mean.
A high frequency, which translates to the color red, has traits that include
vitality, passion, stress, and leadership. Orange indicates intelligence,
yellow discipline and intellect, green growth, change, and peace, blue shows
wisdom, truth and solitude, and violet denotes creativity, faith, possible
supernatural abilities.
For people who see auras naturally the camera is able to document on film
the colors and shapes that they see around people. The Progen Co., makers
of the original aura camera, states that the ability of the camera to precisely
duplicate the aura was the selling point to their numerous camera owners
who can see auras.
Products such as the aura camera will continue to grow in importance as the
acceptance of alternative health procedures becomes more mainstream. Therapists
will look for ways for determining the impact and direction of their work.
Alternative products will become a vital part of this health care revolution.
