Technology From The Old Worlds
Mining
Going back to the technologies of The Old Worlds, as we were
talking about in our last issue, I am often asked if we had
problems with mining like they do on Earth, with it causing
pollution and such. By the late ages such problems did not exist.
The Holy Godden Empire had developed transport beam technology
and this was extensively used in all mining operations. An
inverted transport pad was at the head of the mine shaft. It
transported the rock containing any ore through plastic piping
that kept the beam intact, to a processing machine that separated
out the desired material in the beam, and then the unwanted rock
was beamed back into an already mined shaft, or, formed into
blocks for transport, to be used as building material.
Even before the development of transport technology all of the
old worlds had very strict mining practices. Old shafts were
often refilled as they were disused, rather than leave piles of
rubble on the surface. Strip mining in The Empire, was
unthinkable, except on worlds that could not sustain life. And
these were very often totally mined out. No, I would say most
definitely we did not have the uncontrolled mining practices that
have caused so much harm in this world, nothing anywheres near it.
Time Passing

We got asked one of those questions yesterday that I think we've
answered before, but I feel that is beneficial to repeat again.
The question was "Does time pass in The Spirit Realm?"
The answer is Yes. But very, very slowly. The only way that this
is known is the fact that Souls do gain energy in The Spirit
Realm, do continue to evolve. So, therefore, time must pass for
them in some form, in some way. But as to the exact ratio to time
in the material world, a satisfactory answer simply cannot be
calculated, because there are so many variables.
The only way Those in The Spirit Realm can get a true reference
as to the passage of time in the material world, is through
contact with Their earthly agents who provide them with a base of
reference that allows them to be aware of the passage of
existence. If all life, all intelligent life, disappeared on
Earth, Those in The Afterlife would have no idea of how much time
was passing. To Them a day could go by, or, a hundred-thousand
years, they would simply have no way of knowing. Because there is
no cycle of night and day in The Spirit Realm. It is always light.
This phenomena shows the dependence of The Spiritual on the
material. Neither can exist without the other.
