Glorification Of Thomas
Got the strangest complaint the other day, but
haven't had time to respond to it until now. Someone asked "Why
is the Apostle Thomas being punished? Why is he being sent away
to live with these strange people on a strange world?"
Nothing could be further from the truth! Thomas is not being
punished. Being sent to these people to establish the second
Kingdom Of God is the most profound honor that any Christian
could be given! To take on the role of Jesus' surrogate among
these people is one of the most important missions to be
undertaken by any member of The Kingdom Of God.
Thomas is third in command of Heaven, after Peter, considered the
most skilled and honored Apostle after The Rock. The extra-terrestrials
wanted Peter if they could not have Jesus. But of course this was
completely out of the question So Thomas was chosen. How anyone
could think this is a dishonor is beyond our understanding! How
anyone could consider it as a punishment is folly beyond belief!
We were also asked when, exactly it is that Thomas will leave. As
The Kingdom Of God can barely function with only ten Apostles
Thomas cannot leave until after Joseph Smith takes his place. So
he is scheduled to leave as soon as the celebrations conclude for
Joseph Smith's ascension. Then he and Those going with him, will
make Their official good-byes and depart, not in sadness and
despair, but in joy and ecstacy because there will be a second
Kingdom Of God, a second People Of Israel, so that if by some
circumstance the first should pass away The Glory Of God will
forever continue.
No, Thomas is not being punished, he's being glorified beyond
belief.
We have tried to get Joseph Smith's permission to release his
first speech as an Apostle before Christmas Eve, but he simply
will not permit it! "This," he says, "is for The
Mormon People, and cannot be shared by others until after the
Glory that God has given us has taken place." So we will
have Joseph's acceptance speech ready, and post it the first
thing, Christmas morning. We will give the address of where it
will be tomorrow, but it will not be put up until Christmas Day
so the address will be non functional until then.
There was some argument about us putting it up Christmas Day, but
it was finally decided it would be appropriate. People in The
Afterlife can really get touchy about these things sometimes!
They are extremely mad right now that football games will be
played Christmas Eve, which makes Them irate. They do not believe
ANY secular activities that could distract from The Christmas
Celebrations should take place on either Christmas Eve or
Christmas Day. Sports are not holy activities. Most are the
barbaric practices of man, and should not be put above Divine
Activities. Those in The Afterlife would definitely NOT be very
popular with the sports fanatics in The United States who put
baseball and football before anything. I once had a co-worker say
to me "Who cares about religious crap? It's not important! I
want my Patriots! They're in the playoffs!" The set of the
material mind can be extremely fixated What is really important
doesn't matter to them at all, and the unimportant takes the most
exalted place. I've said it before and I'll say it again, what
fools these mortals be!
