John's First Appointments Pt. 2

Well, John's first appointments really caused some activity, to say the least!  They worked right until the last minute, then dispatched the new Appointees.  Within half an hour 28 of them had returned, saying those they had been sent to refused to accept Them, would not let Them take Their posts.  "What do we do now?"  John asked.
"I don't know!"  his chief assistant answered.  "This has never ever happened before.  No one has EVER refused to accept Appointees.  There's no procedure.  The only thing I can suggest is contact The Angelic Guard.  Maybe Their Commander would know what to do."
So The Commander Of The Angelic Guard was summoned, and the Apostle James arrived with him, demanding to know what was wrong, why The Guard had been called.  John explained and James thought for several minutes, then asked "Your permission to take action as I see fit?"
"Of course!"  John answered.
James turned to The Commander Of The Angelic Guard and ordered him, "Get a squad for each of these ladies.  Escort Them to Their posts.  Call up the Reserves if you have to.  When The Squad Leaders arrive They are to tell the people at those posts that They are to accept the new Appointees, begin to work with Them, or vacate Their offices.  If They refuse to vacate Their offices They are to be removed, and those offices remanned.  If you have to use your own personnel Commander, those offices are to remain open, and remain functional.  Are my instructions clearly understood?"
The Commander Of The Angelic Guard snapped "Yes sir!" then turned to the women and said "Come along, ladies!  We will see you to your posts."
This tactic worked.  Under threat of removal fromTheir offices Those tending them accepted the new Appointees.  But this was not the end of it!  Within an hour a delegation arrived at Jesus' residence and demanded to see Peter.  Peter greeted Them.  They explained They were a committee of Catholics who had been sent by Their fellows to request that John's appointments be rescinded, and that he be removed from his post.  Before They could finish Their statement Pope Cletus arrived with yet another delegation demanding to know what was happening. When he found out he announced to Peter that the first delegation was not sent by his bidding, and did not represent the majority of The Catholic Faith.  He ordered the first delegation to depart.  They reluctantly did so.  John thanked Cletus for his assistance and all went back to Their other duties.
Still this was not the end of the morning's activities!  A while later thousands of Catholics began arriving in The Circle Of Apostles.  Gathering in small groups They began to chant "Remove the false Apostle! Stop the blasphemy!  Remove the false Apostle!  Stop the blasphemy!"  Their numbers continued to grow, but then thousands of other Catholics began to arrive chanting "Our Dear John is doing His will!  Our  Dear John is doing His will!"  Slowly They began to outnumber the original protesters and drove them from The Circle Of The Apostles by the sheer weight of Their numbers.  The Angelic Guard simply stood back and let things take their course.
After a time the crowd gathered in front of John's residence and began to cry "Sing for us, John!  Bring back Mary! Sing for us, John!  Bring back Mary!"  Finally John came out, sang a couple of songs for Them, and asked Them to quietly disperse.  The crowd slowly did so, and things have returned to a state of normalcy.  This week John is working on appointments to the Protestant churches.  But somehow I doubt if next Wednesday's difficulties will be as bad.  But the first organized resistance to John's Apostleship has surfaced.  This is why our Petition drive is so important.  We need to keep the flow of energy going to John, and show Those in The Kingdom Of God that the world is behind him.
