North Dakota Phone Service
We love living here in North Dakota. But we
do have to say one thing. The utilities here are terrible!
Especially the phone company. We have had several dealings
with them since we moved here and found their personnel utterly
incompetant. The only one that seemed to know what she was
doing was the lady that installed our second line. Then we
were charged extra for what she did.
We got an ad from them saying that if we had an extra phone line
we could get their internet service for $14.00 instead of $19.00
so we had it installed and found we were being billed for $19.00.
I repeatedly complained but the representative kept telling me I
was getting the discount, I wasn't counting the tax. But
the bill showed the tax seperately. I commented on this and
was told "You just don't know how to read the bill.
You're getting the discount!" Well, as we did not want
to pay $24.00 for internet service after we discontinued the
extra line, we dropped them. And of course they fouled
everything up, did not get one of our instructions right.
Deregulation and the break up of the phone companies was supposed
to improve service. It certainly didn't in North Dakota!
