What's Happening Here?

Every time you think you're going to get ahead a little bit! We got this
issue of the magazine all set up and started printing the paper version,
and our printer died! It served us well for about three years. We're
probably lucky that it lasted us that long! But it's just a nuisance
we could've done without right now. If we get a new one we will have to
be setting it up in the new computer, as this old thing we do the magazines
on just won't take much more. But we'll keep on getting the stuff out
somehow. Thank goodness for Mailboxes, Etc.! It costs you a little bit,
but they have equipment that will allow you to just about do anything
that you can do on a computer. Real handy places, just wish their mailboxes
were a little cheaper!
Otherwise than this small setback things are going rather well,
except that Linda has another ear infection this year. They seem to come
every spring. But the clinic gave her some free antibiodicts that hopefully
will knock it out. It is very difficult for her to do much when she is
not feeling well, and it keeps us from getting much done at all. Oh, to
have a staff of 100 or so, like The President has! Boy, could we get some
stuff done then! That's about all around here right now. To all our friends
out there, keep on trekkin! The dream still lives! Heaven ain't dead yet!
A Question That Was Asked On One Of The Many Forums We Post On
Ask the Polleys about this would ya. Seems that they are involved in a prohibited practice. "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to The Lord, and because of these detestable practices The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before The Lord your God." (Deuteronomy 18:10-13 NIV)
Our Friend Jesse's Response
This verse refers to the priests of Baal who infested The Middle East
in Biblical Times, and engaged in the sickening practice of sacrificing
a family's first born son in Baal's altar fire to become one of his spiritual
warriors. It is little wonder that they are so condemned! But this passage
does NOT apply to modern spiritual workers, most of whom are followers
of The Light. A Bible verse has to be taken in the period that it applies
to.
The Polleys had some trouble with a group that was going around a
community where they lived telling people they were sacrificing and eating
babies because of this Bible verse. the local police didn't appreciate
this. They knew The Polleys very well and knew such accusations were ludicrous.
They ran the Bible readers out of town in short order, telling them never
to return again! Misuse of such Bible verses in modern times does a great
deal of harm. I assure you, the Polleys never want to find out about anyone
doing such things. They would be the first to make known what they are
doing public knowledge and, condemn them. They have no use for people that
even commit animal sacrifices.
