Fake Hauntings
I can't believe some of the crap that they're
putting on t.v. now! If the fake wrestling isn't bad enough,
there's a couple of channels on cable putting on fake haunting
shows, supposedly getting people to spend the night in haunted
castles, etc.. But the people they are using are so fake
that it's more like a Cosby comedy. These people couldn't
convince anybody that they were scared if their lives depended on
it! It's all so fake that it makes legitimate hauntings appear
fraudulent.
We're not saying there aren't legitimately haunted places, there's
a lot of them, but the majority of Spirits haunting places are
benign. All they do is reenact the trauma over and over
again that caused them to be trapped in the physical realm.
They only have contact with the living when somebody sensitive to
such phenomena, happens to get in their way during the
reenactment of their tragedy.
What we should be doing is trying to help these poor souls
resolve the problems that have stuck them in the material realm
so that they can travel on and be free of the circumstances that
have trapped them in the material realm. We should not be
exploiting their problem for the purpose of public entertainment,
especially faking phenomena, which is never appropriate.
These fake shows remind me of the time many years ago, when
people bet me $50.00 I couldn't stay in the cemetery from 11 at
night to 1 in the morning. I was having a good time, but
the others backed out, paying up because they claimed they saw
shadowy figures walking around me and it terrified them.
Some people are afraid of their own shadows, and this fear should
not be exploited in public entertainment.
