It Is Cancer

Well, not some very good news this morning.  The hospital called yesterday with the results of the sore on Linda's head. It's cancerous.  They say it's a very 'friendly' form of cancer, and it should be easily dealt with, but it's cancer, none the less.  Linda is scheduled to go in for several hours' treatment where the side of her head will be anesthetized and they will remove the sore layer by layer until the lab tells them they have gotten all the cancerous tissue.
This whole thing makes everybody in The Afterlife very, very angry!  They have been trying to get funds for us so we would have better medical care for years.  We have been trying to get this thing treated for as long as ten years, but the doctors kept saying it was only psoriasis.  None of them, except the doctors here, bothered to even suggest that it be checked!    We are seriously wondering if they didn't want to bother because we didn't have health insurance, and perhaps were afraid they might not be paid.  If this is the case, we're going to have a long discussion when they leave this world!
We haven't even got a bill for the other things yet..my bit of surgery, and, the doctor's visits.  We can't imagine how much this is going to cost!  But of course cost doesn't matter, at this point.  It HAS to be taken care of, no if, ands, or buts.  But it should have been taken care of some time ago.  The incompetence of other physicians we have been involved with really disturbs us.  There was one incident that if a doctor had not gone on vacation and Linda gone in to see another one, there is a very good possibility she would have died!  Medical care in The United States, is among the best in the world, for those who can afford it, but those outside the mainstream who don't have quite the access that the well to do have, have a hard time getting simple care.  If anyone is thinking I sound a little bit bitter, you're absolutely right!  Linda has worked so hard over the years, she has a right to have her needs seen to, and those who were looking after her before should have brought this condition to light much sooner.  I am sure The Lords were keeping it in control, but if it had been properly treated some time ago, Their Precious Power would not have needed to be used, and could have been used for someone else.
People are literally sacrificing their material existences to keep The Work going, to see to the continued survival of mankind.  This unnecessary burden on Their resources has been unconscionable, and is totally unacceptable!  As I have said, those who have treated her in the past will have to explain themselves!
That is about all for today.  Everyone in The Afterlife is so perturbed by this situation that they kind of went on strike today, refusing to make any comments until They've settled down a little bit.  The New Year is definitely not starting off as well as we would like.

Have you ever sat down and really thought how close you came to dying, how some little thing meant the difference between your life and your death?  We got talking about that at work one time, and everybody was really surprised by how many incidences they'd lived through, where they were a split second away from death.  There have been so many of them in my life that I can't even remember them all.  But the auto accidents are the most memorable.  In the first one I was saved because the contractor whose driveway I went to turn around in was full of trucks, and I couldn't go completely around.  I had to stop and back into the street, and as I did so, two young people drag racing topped the hill.  If I had been going forward we would never have had a prayer.  Everybody in all three cars would have probably been killed.  But I was able to straddle the white line and give one car an opportunity to get by me.  The other one hit me and flipped over, but everybody survived.  When all the dust cleared I found myself hanging out of my car by my seat belt with my head scraping on the ground.  Don't ask me how I ever managed to flip completely around in the seat belt, but I did!  The second time I glanced in my rear view mirror and saw all four wheels of the car coming behind me leave the road as it topped the hill.  I knew they didn't have a prayer of stopping and tried to get out of the way.  If I hadn't seen them, they would've most likely rear ended me doing about a hundred miles an hour and driven me into the line of oncoming vehicles!  The state police officer said my quick thinking saved everybody.  Sometimes you just sit there and wonder how these things happen!  But I think there's providence behind many of them.  I think unseen figures whisper in peoples' ears and say 'leave your trucks here tonight!' or even in your own ears and say 'Quick!  Look in the mirror!'  and gives you that split second that means the difference between life and death.  I know it's happened with me more times than I like to think about, and I'm sure it's happened with others.
