When the pods were burned they would explode and the burning dust inside of them became a choking, eye-burning smoke!   Muhammed laughed.  His winged allies had struck again!
17  They took to their horses again and rode to The Teeth Of The Dragons.  Muhammed did not like to try to do battle here.  The pass was narrow, no more than twenty horsemen could get into it to a time.  It would be a hard place to take the enemy by surprise.
18  He positioned his men and they rested.  Then the scout warned them the enemy was coming.  Muhammed again led the charge.  The Meccans saw them, and shouted to mass, when suddenly rocks started falling from the cliffs above. The startled Meccans, fearing the falling rocks more than the charging men, broke ranks and rode for the shelter of the overhangs.  But Muhammed's men, ignoring the rocks, charged right into the passage, and the battle was joined! It lasted a little longer this time, but the result was the same.  The Meccans fled.  Two of their numbers had been killed, but they had captured seven prisoners.
19  "Come!"  Muhammed cried, "We will rest in the heat of the day, now we will journey back."  And so the victorious little army headed back for their encampment.
