The Demon's Revenge?

Linda here, with just a quick message this morning to let you know what's going on.  Yesterday morning after he dictated the day's email Gerald became really sick and disoriented, the same way he felt last weekend.  I called his doctor for him, as he was resting.  We thought he might be allergic to his new medication.  I was told by the doctor's assistant, to call 911 and for both of us to take the ambulance to the hospital, as he had the symptoms of a possible heart attack!  I spent the day in the emergency room with him. At this time it's still not known exactly what is wrong.   He spent the night in the hospital to have some more tests done.  His only comment was  "I guess the demon in Los Angeles didn't appreciate us revealing his name!"

THE WAYS OF THE OLD WORLDS
WARRANTS

As we are speaking of the judicial systems of The Old Worlds in this issue, and the investigative agencies, the question arises of warrants.  Did investigative agencies on The Old Worlds have to acquire warrants in order to seize someone's property during an investigation or to intercept someone's communications?  In almost all situations the answer would be yes.  In all three of The Old Worlds' judicial systems an individual's privacy could not be violated unless the investigative agencies could show to an officer of the court evidence that an individual was involved in criminal activity.  No investigative agency could simply enter into someone's premises and search it whenever they felt like it.  They had to have reasonable cause to suspect criminal activity before they could conduct a search of a premises, or, an individual.
The fundamental understanding of the right of privacy, and, the right of property was the foundation stone of all three societies.  And an individual's rights were protected in all three systems.
