BARE YOUR OWN WEIGHT
By Lawrence D.Reynolds

Every item You've purchased. Possessions You've earned.
And some travel lightweight while others are fruitful.
And how often in life are we forced to be truthful
But at this one moment, there's nothing to hide.

There's a phrase people say when required to come forward.
A phrase people say when their time is cutback.
A phrase people say when it's time to head shoreward.
For some folks, it jars them to help them react.
For some it's a matter of fact.

Just carry your bags to the Boarder and tip the Boatman at the Shore.
BringTraveling shoes and your memories cause you probably won't be back anymore.
Just tip the Boatman at the Shore.

There are few second chances, few second go-rounds.
So why bag your sewage. You know it's a hard fit.
Regardless of stench some refuse to discard it,
And carry it with them until they are called.

Well you can't drop your bags and then head for the shoreline.
You can't turn your head and pretend to dismiss.
You can't expect others to claim your bags for you.
You bare your own weight. No deception or tricks.
And there's no more time left to fix.

Just carry your bags to the Boarder and tipthe Boatman at the Shore.
BringTraveling shoes and your memories cause you probably won't be back anymore.
Just tip the Boatman at the Shore.
