MEXICAN FURY
By; Speaker Gerald A. Polley

I always admire animals' courage, continuing with dogs I have met along the way.  My aunt's Chihuahua has to come to mind.  My aunt had several little dogs over the years and they all adored me, even whey they hated everybody else, and this amazed my aunt!  Her Pekinese would come right up and get in my lap whenever I visited, and she wouldn't get near anybody else.  But their favorite dog was their Chihuahua.  He was a delight to everybody, and extremely protective of the children.  The neighbors had a boxer that whenever he got loose terrorized the neighborhood until he was retrieved.  The children were out in the yard playing one day, when the boxer came charging across the street heading towards them menacingly.
The little Chihuahua came flying out of nowhere and began to attack the boxer's rear.  The boxer went crazy.  Again and again he tried to get at this flashing little terror that was attacking him, but again and again the Chihuahua would charge in, bite the boxer where he would notice it the most, and retreat before the boxer could get ahold of him.  I feared at any moment, the little dog would get caught and it would all be over, but I was too busy keeping the children away from the melee to interfere!
Finally the boxer had had enough!  Kiyiing at the top of his lungs he retreated across the road and the triumphant Chihuahua stood at the edge of the driveway barking insults, then snorted and went back to his favorite resting place to be praised by the children.
I just sat down on the grass and laughed and laughed!  I had never seen anything so hilarious in my life!  That little dog just totally humiliated his bigger and stronger adversary!  It is a lesson in life I have always respected...never underestimate your adversary.
The poor boxer learned this the hard way!
