Got the sad news today that Gerald's older sister Virginia Somers, died
this morning around 1 a.m. est of lymphoid cancer which blinded her a
week or so ago. It was in her eyes and couldn't be treated then
got to her spine. Scary stuff, but Jesus says she made it to The
Afterlife well and has met her mother and father. Glad she
didn't suffer for a long time.
Got a John Lennon song this morning! Though he is still on strike
he wrote one for Jimmy Kimmel's fans for sending the energy that is
saving the world. It's called "The Magic!" We sent it to
the Kimmel people and Kevin and Bean who requested it. Have to
wait and see how they like it.
Had a great Good Friday. Got up early because the man at
the Jamestown radio station told us it (our commercial) would be on
about 6:11 a.m.. I got up around 5 because I had a cramp in my
right leg from laying on it wrong. Turned on the pc first thing,
and the station worked great. Went to see if Gerald wanted to get
up at 6 a.m.. He didn't sleep very good the night before, but got
up anyway, and just in time! There was the ad at 6:11 a.m.!
It sounded great! Everyone in The Afterlife was jumping up and
down They were so happy we got to hear it, and it was the last day it
was on.
Jesus had come through Gerald and drew some more pictures. He had
me scan them for the art gallery online. I drew one yesterday of
John Lennon and his wife Mary Marie, so I scanned that too, and put it
up. I can never draw him or, George Harrison as cute as they
look. I told John so. He said "I'll take that."
Found another free online game site, Arcade.com to replace Shockwave
which had a disgusting ad banner Gerald saw. He's playing a java
torpedo alley game. It's tricky but he likes it. We wanted
to play Magic Vines there. I found this at Google.
The neighbors got their extra car working to take to their new
place. They were going to bring their red pick up back but
didn't, we don't know why. That's about all for now.
Tired. It's supposed to rain moving day! Hope not!
Had a great weekend; more packing and cleaning. Saturday
Gerald said he wanted to rent a car so we could go to Bismarck, bring
some of our most precious things, and check out the area, before going
with the UHaul, that it would be better than doing everything at
once. For hours he kept saying "No! I've got to stop
thinking of this idea! I don't have any money coming in. We
can't afford it!" Then he had me check prices on the internet,
then he'd change his mind again! Then I found out Budget had
unlimited mileage in the state and were like $71.00 for three
days. So he had me call the neighbors and ask for a ride to their
airport location. Then we spent the rest of the night loading
it. The back seats folded down. It was a Pontiac Grand Am V6,
silver. The man at the desk upgraded it free from a Sunbird we
called about. What a fantastic car! We both loved it.
The next day we got up early setting the alarm for 5:30 and left here
after a quick breakfast, at 6:15 after sending Jesse an email telling
him we were leaving.
It was Easter and a beautiful day! Three hours later after seeing
tons of geese, buffalo, and horses, and a handful of rest stops we got
to Bismarck! Found the street right off thanks to some internet
trip maps. Had a bit of trouble finding Jesse's building but got
there too. His apartment is great!
We got the car unloaded, gave Jesse our t.v. and then he took us to
Burger King for lunch. He had breakfast
though. It was so cool when we sat down in the restaurant I
immediately noticed the radio station there was playing "Just Like
Starting Over" by John Lennon! That was just perfect! I
don't think it was a coincidence. Then Jesse took us for a small
tour of Bismarck! It was great. We even got to see Gerald's
dream house, the one he saw in a dream some time ago, then found on the
internet.
We left Bismarck around noon on schedule. When we got home Gerald
decided not to go back the next day with the computers like he planned,
but wait 'til Wednesday, when we had the UHaul.
Now, everything is REALLY packed! Tomorrow we get the UHaul, load
it, and are going to spend the night at the Fargo Motel 6 so we can
really have the place clean for the carpet cleaners at 8 a.m.!
It's kind of sad, the last night here, ever, with all that's
happened.......John's new music, and everything, even the movie "Where
Has Eternity Gone?"
Will write here again when I can.
Well, here we are at the Fargo Motel 6! It's pretty nice.
But it's right beside Burger King and Mr. Steak so we're going crazy
wishing we had some extra money. But we made salami and cheese
sandwiches, brought yogurt, oranges and fig bars. Gerald bought
Sunkist orange soda and we split it. We brought the food in our
little cooler case we took to Hollywood.
I was pretty sick this morning but just as soon as Gerald came home
with the 14 ft. UHaul, I got to work helping load it and felt much
better. I had swollen glands, didn't sleep half the night, and
acid indigestion, but after a nap and lunch I was o.k. Hope it
doesn't come back!
