Hi! My name is Elana. What's so ordinary about me? I'm an American, sure, and also a waitress. BUT....my job in The Spirit World is with a place called "Logan's World." It is a fururistic city based on the one featured in the science fiction movie "Logan's Run." It isn't only a gigantic tourist attraction, anyone who enjoys our lifestyle can buy or rent an apartment or condiminium here. Some of these resemble the apartment Logan, and his friend have in the movie. Of course there's more contemporary designs also.
It is fun to work here! Sometimes it doesn't even seem like work. I love meeting the wide variety of customers we have, and seeing the costumes some choose to wear. In different parts of the city you can play Logan's Run characters, and act out their scenes for small fees.
We have several enteratainment centers like this in Spirit. As a matter of fact, there's ones based on The Star Wars Trilogy, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica, which is still very popular here.
I have many actor friends staying in our area. Several who have science fiction shows like to enhance their existences by staying in our city. They say it helps them "keep in touch with their characters!"
Anyway, if you're wondering what I look like, I am in my later twenties, have a pretty good figure, if I do say so myself, and long curly dark brown hair, and brown eyes. I have dark-tanned skin coloring as I did in life because my ancestors were Spanish. But I have kind of a New York accent, which is really fun sometimes, with being a waitress. I like to wear bright lipstick and eye makeup, even though it's a futuristic place. I like the old-fashioned look, you know, but not when it comes to uniforms......the sexier the better is my motto! You know, like those girls on all those movies like Star Trek and stuff.
As for food here, we have our own creations with far-out names, and, even our old-fashioned hamburgers have fancy titles! Of course the menues explain what everything is, thank goodness! We even have take-out orders, and phone-in ones, too, with free delivery in our city. The name of this restaurant is "The Way Station."
