Shocker From The Afterlife- Jay Leno Canceled!
Here's a shocker from The Afterlife. We mentioned the
possibility of it before but didn't believe it could ever happen!
They've stopped rebroadcasting Jay Leno and The Tonight Show! It
fell below 3,000 subscribers, which is the minimum for
rebroadcasting. It's simply a waste of energy to rebroadcast
something with as little popularity as that. Kurt Cobain is
saying he'd like to do for Jay what John Lennon did for Jimmy
Kimmel. But this is the first time in ages that any television
show in the material world has been cancelled in The Afterlife!
This is a sad happening we wish we could do something about. We
have always been fans of Jay's.
A little disappointed with the new Super Wal Marts in the area.
Have been there shopping a couple of times and both times had
something happen that disturbs us. We bought items that were
supposed to be on sale and then when we got home found that we
were charged the full price for them; small things, beef bologna
that was supposed to be 99 cents but was really $2.25, and canned
vegetables that were supposed to be 28 cents that were actually
47. Some people would not consider this a serious thing, but
people are being misled, and that is not right.
Linda's visit with the doctor went pretty good, though we didn't
actually get to see him. He had been called in for an emergency
operation and we talked to his nurse practitioner. She told us
what would be happening. This doctor will do the preliminary
work, getting Linda ready for the histerectomy. Her other doctor
will perform the histerectomy and then this doctor will fix the
hernia and close up. We will be so glad when it is all over!
Gerald had a bit of a scare, though! He really started to feel
bad coming home. When we took the afternoon blood test his sugar
was over 260! We called the doctor's office and asked if he
should go to the hospital. They said no, this was a high level,
but not dangerous unless it was constant. We took it again around
bed time and it was 134, 140 this morning. Gerald usually hovers
around 112 to 117, so this is still a little high for him.
Hopefully it will calm down. The slightest things can set him
off. It could've been anything from the trees blooming to some
woman's perfume at the hospital. Everyone is still very
disappointed that because of Linda's operation we will lose the
opportunity to destroy the demons in Iraq in one tremendous burst
of energy. But they will be dealt with. It's just a matter of
time. Here's one of those strange little things. As we said we
went shopping at Wal Mart the other day. We put quite a supply of
bananas in our cart and continued our shopping. We didn't realize
that when we checked out the bananas weren't in our cart.
Somewhere during our shopping experience, someone had taken them,
that's the only explanation. Isn't that the ultimate of laziness?
You don't want to go back to the display and get your own
bananas, so when someone isn't looking you take theirs out of
their cart! We can't imagine such people. They're just beyond our
understanding. Here's another cool note! As we were walking home
yesterday all of a sudden the church we were passing began to
play "Yesterday" on their bells! Now, that can't be a
coincidence!
One more thing. On our way home we got Linda a haircut at the
beauty parlor school. While Gerald was waiting he explored the
area and found there's a recording studio just a few blocks from
where we live! Might be real handy some time. We wanted her hair
a little shorter so it would be more manageable for the surgery.
What do you think?
