We Have A Clue!

We're pleased to report that concerning Gerald's medical condition we have a clue! Yes, we're no longer clueless! Gerald's fantastic boss gave Linda a ride to the hospital and back Thursday, and said he would continue doing so whenever possible. When Linda arrived Gerald was talking to his doctor who said he noticed that Gerald had a highly elevated PSA level, (whatever that is) so requested for a urologist to come in Thursday, and check on him. This doctor got there shortly afterwards and asked Gerald a lot of questions, then said he was surprised the PSA level was so elevated in such a short time after his recent test. Then he announced that he suspected Gerald has an acutely infected prostate. He said he knew it wasn't anything to do with cancer because it wasn't showing the correct signs. Anyway, if that's the cause of his problems he will have to be treated for months with antibiodicts, hopefully at home.
Gerald now has his own room and is no longer in the ICU. He is eating well, and walking around some with the IV in his hand. He is exhausted and needs a lot of sleep, which hopefully he'll get now after requesting a sleeping pill.
There's not much else going on. Just wanted to pass along the update. Some good news, but we're hoping for more soon to come.
Here we're desperately in need of some assistance. We need someone to volunteer to be our campaign chairman and come here to work with us. We hope someone will step forward soon.
In Friday's "Here's Jesus! we feature two questions from August, 2,003, "How does the good response to our email campaign concerning The Anglican churches make You feel?" and ""Have we accomplished anything by emailing to The Angilican Churches and getting one nice reply?" A very important episode, considering what has recently happened to the Anglican Church in California!

As Gerald now has a telephone to use any time he wants to he dictated the following message over the phone to Linda while she used the headset phone by the computer.
We have been warning people for three years that the situation in Pakistan would have to be fought out by its own people. There was no way that the world was going to be able to control it. The Forces Of Light and the forces of Darkness there were going to have to battle for control of the country and the best action to take was to back the people that are doing the good and go aggressively after those that are causing the problems, even giving the Pakistan leadership American ground and air support. This region is vital. The terrorists want to make it their base of operation. They want to take over Pakistan then return to Afghanistan and Iraq. They dream of a fundamentalist nation powerful enough to take on the world. Their dream must never be fulfilled. Too long the fundamentalists have used their women and children to shield them. This cannot be allowed. When they are located they must be attacked and destroyed. It will be hard for decent men but the world must come to understand that if you do not fight evil you will lose what you have. This is without question.

Maybe Tomorrow?

Well, some good news for a change! It looks like Gerald may be coming home from the hospital on Monday, December 31st! His doctor said his blood tests are looking much better, his blood pressure is good and so is his blood sugar. He has an infected prostate which caused the sepsis infection in his blood. He will be taking antibiodicts for a month, and will have to get a lot of rest because he's still weak. He's concerned about how long it'll be before he'll be able to get back to work, and hoping he won't have to be home for the month he's taking the medication. Linda went to visit him Saturday afternoon and was able to stay overnight, sleeping in the reclining chair beside the bed, then Gerald traded places with her, which was a surprise to one of the nurses coming in to take Gerald's vitals! They kept the t.v. on all night set on one of the light rock music stations and it was just delighful! Like Gerald said when he would wake up off and on they seemed to play just the right song! And of course Linda especially liked it when she woke up once and they were playing John Lennon's old song "Woman." Beatles & Friends were singing on the balcony for quite some time. When Gerald and Linda are apart The Afterlife doesn't get such good reception from them as to what's going on here. Not to mention the dark ones were not pleased because them being in the same room again recharged The Kingdom Of God! That was close! That was too close! Gerald doesn't ever want to delay medical care again! He is concerned about God wanting to move the operations to Los Angeles, if there would be a hospital in Los Angeles to compare with the quality of care that he's been getting at MedCenter One.
