Be it known on this date that I do adopt Lorielle New as my heir apparant, and do bestow upon her all my rights and powers given unto me by God Almighty. That she is henceforth, until the day of her death, Empress Of California, that her consort shall bear the title of Companion Of The Empress And Father Of Her Descendants but shall not have any authority over The Kingdom other than that that The Empress grants. That only her son or her daughter shall inherit the throne, depending on which is born to her first. If it shall be a son then he shall succeed as Emperor and if it shall be a daughter, she shall succeed as Empress. And so it shall be with all of their generations, henceforth.
This Decree is given through The Voice Of The Prophets, who is called on Earth Speaker Gerald Polley, who is The High Priest of my Kingdom and the authority in all religious matters pertaining to It, as shall be the successor in his position. He shall sign this Document in that state, as the religious leader of my Empire and, the protector of the peoples' souls.
Be it known that the good priest, in exchange for service that I have provided him, will, when he is able, set up a trust for The Empress that will give her a pittance for the performance of her duties that shall be laid out in the contract that shall be given with that trust. My heir is an actress, who is beloved by many, and I would not want her new position to take away from the enjoyment that she gives her subjects. I would wish that she continue to appear in performances that be recorded and kept for all times, but in the credits of these performances that her full title be given for the character she plays.
