"After a million years," Esther put in, "that's understandable! There's no way even you could reach back that far! Those memories would've had to have faded! Do you have any idea how old my soul is?"
"How old is this world?" The Ancient One said. "We're quite sure your soul was one of the first that came into being when The Dancers danced, when life bgan here! So, that's the only way I can answer your question."
"Whoa!" Esther replied, "Whoa!"
"Good night!" The Ancient One snapped, and soared away.
Esther looked at her new female companion and remarked "Why is it all the women that are involved with him are so beautiful?"
Her new companion smiled. "Perhaps," she answered "because he draws to him the most powerful and the most beautiful souls that exist! Look at yourself!"
"I'm beginning to wonder about that," Esther sighed. "I am beginning to wonder about it."
"You will awaken," her new companion told her. "It is inevitable. Some day your physical form will accept the power that you have and use it. It is inevitable!"
Esther returned her smile. The Axe Man sniffed. "Aaah!" he remarked, "The stench of our adversaries is dispersing. We can pick up individual odors. There's one nearby feeding. Let's see if we can find him!"
"Lead the way!" David encouraged, "Lead the way!"
"I've got one last question," Esther put in as they went to take flight, "why, when you go to fly why do the handles of your axes shrink and your shields disappear?"
The Axe Man laughed. "Because unlike you," he answered, "we use our axes to fly instead of our shields. Our shields shrink down and become an ornament on the back of our left hand glove. The handles shrink to make them more manageable. They become longer when we are not using our shields to give us more reach."
"Magical weapons!" Esther remarked.
"Absolutely!" The Axe Man agreed. He spun his axe, hurled it, taking flight. The others quickly followed.

Oh! Something cute! Some people were complaining that God supports KROQ when they encourage partying and such, and go where there's a lot of drinking. God's answer was simple. "I have never told my children that they cannot have a good time. I only ask them to act responsibly. And I believe these fine gentlemen do the same. I do not think there is one of them that would encourage a college student to drink themselves to death, that they enjoy my perfection I do not hold against them. That they encourage men to enjoy the beauty of my daughters is as it should be. I do not like these complaints. I wish that you would not make them any more!" Notwithstanding, those that were complaining didn't like it very much!

Greetings Bean!

Just had to send you a little message saying how adorable the picture of your wife reading to the cow was! It brought back so many wonderful memories. Of course I've told you I was a farm boy. Grew up in a rural area and did many odd jobs for farmers. I remember one day I was doing some repairs on some peoples' barns and saw the wife sitting on a stool reading poetry to their milk cow, and the cow seemed to be enjoying it! I mentioned this to other people and they said "Oh! We know people that do stuff like that all the time! Such-and-such goes into his barn at night and plays his fiddle for his goats! The nights that he doesn't the next day the goats seem very depressed." Some people would probably say that it was actually the wife telling the husband not to play the fiddle in the house, but knowing how well that gentleman played that would be highly doubtful. But as I constantly say, there's nothing new under the sun, especially as you get older! You see things and it reminds you so much of thngs you have seen before..different people, different places but the same joy. Thank you for the memories! The old brain is getting forgetful, and many of these joyous things are slipping away with all the stuff that we are involved with today. But it is so nice to remember all those people you've touched in your childhood, the people that taught you wondrous things that you would never learn in any school.
