"He most certainly does!" the helper sighed. "He most certainly does! Have you ever been with them since the first time?"
"Of course!" the young woman answered. "Over the ages in different forms I have been his mother, his sister, his daughter, and, his mistress. We have been together over and over again. We can never be apart from each other. This is the first lifetime in ages I haven't been a blood relation."
"Wow!" the helper sighed again. "These things are so incredible, that you are all so much a part of each other and can accept all these relationships so wondrously and not be angry with each other. It's wondrous! What about these three?"
The young colored woman smiled. "These are very bad girls," she answered, "they're trying to play very naughty games which are very, very dangerous. These two keep coming into his dreams and making him kill them by drowning themselves in an icy river, and then destroying their souls in The Afterlife, which probably wouldn't take much because I doubt if they have much left! It's a very dangerous game. They're laying down a pattern in their minds that just might actually make them do it. It's very dangerous to try to play little tricks on him! We're trying to find some way of messing them up. We will, eventually. This one is also playing little games. She knows she's in big trouble because she won't expose her mother and father, and destroy them politically, tell the world what they have been doing. She knows that will destroy her. So she's been bringing him into her dreams and making him torture her, trying to get her either to commit suicide or join him. The latter would be very smart for her to do. But we're turning the tables on her! I've been going with him, and instead of torturing her, he tortures me. I take her pain and give her pleasure. And others have been doing it too, that work with us and it's driving her crazy! She can't deal with it. It's really twisting her little mind and it may very soon snap. Like I say, they're playing dangerous games."
The Ancient One's helper looked at the young woman who virtually seemed in tears. "Why does it bother you so?" she asked.
The girl looked at her with the deepest despair. "Why?" she asked. "Why do they care? It hurts! It really, really hurts! And he doesn't hold anything back, he hurts them just as much as he hurts me. Yet they take it. They take it and they give me back pleasure. Why? Why do they care? Why would they allow themselves to be hurt for me when I've done so many bad things? It's not right! I don't understand. I try to, but I don't. I appreciate what they do but I can't understand why they care, why they'd do it for me. They shouldn't. I don't want them to. My pain is mine, no one else should have to suffer for me. I don't understand!"
The Ancient One's helper smiled. "I think you will," she answered, "and when you do I think it will be a great deal of help to you. " She looked to The Ancient One. "Can't you stop?" she asked.
"They're using my basic weaknesses," The Ancient One answered, "they know I have to hunt and destroy evil, they know I have to punish evil. They're using those tendencies against me. And as she says, sooner or later it will backfire. Sooner or later they will wish they hadn't."
The new helper nodded. "And look what's happening!" the young colored girl put in. "No matter how much they don't want to those in the material world have to help! They know what he's doing in The Middle East and that he has to do it, and that more power is needed. So The President Of The United States finds an excuse to go to Iraq and takes God's power in there, hurting those acting against Him. And The Prime Minister Of Great Britain takes it into Pakistan. Sometimes no matter how much they don't want to help, they can't keep themselves from doing so. It's such a silly game! It's just so foolish. They know they should be giving him their full and complete support, but they just can't let go of that foolish material pride and their belief that their political solutions will work, and they know better than God. Some day they'll learn, hopefully, before it's too late."
"Well!" The Ancient One sighed, "I think we've had a good talk. Why don't we go for a swim? Nice pond over there. Or would you prefer the ocean? I know where there's some really friendly dolphins!"
"Dolphins?" all the girls went, looking happily at each other.
"Well, I guess that's settled!" The Ancient One's companion giggled. She snapped her fingers and all the girls were in bikinis. "Just one question," The Ancient One's helper put in. She pointed at one of the girls. "Aren't you pregnant?" she asked.
"Oh," the girl answered, "you see that dark shadow over there, that little dark thing? That's my baby. It has no soul yet. It's just material energy so it can't be with me while I'm in The Afterlife. So it just hangs around. When I go back it will go back with me. I haven't..." she hesitated a moment. "no soul has come to it yet. I'm getting scared." She looked at The Ancient One and he smiled.
"One is coming," he assured. "Don't worry, it will be fine! It won't be like your brother."
The girl sighed, and the other girl took her hand. They didn't say anything just looked at each other.
The Ancient One snapped his fingers and they were by the ocean. Dolphins jumped out of the water just a little ways off shore, whistling and clicking. The girls all went "Oooh!" and quickly swam to join them. The Ancient One just floated in the water for awhile until he felt something nudging him. A dolphin was pushing him out into the deeper water. The Ancient One rolled over, grabbed the fin and was towed away. "I'm gonna hate to wake up!" he muttered, "Sometimes you just hate to wake up!"
