Demetrius' powers still amaze even me! It is obvious though he has yet to be in physical contact with any of the courier/protectors they are effecting his operations because very unnatural things are happening. Last night as he slept one of Demetrius' workers on the west coast contacted him. "We've got a problem!" she said. "We were trying to make a standard retrieval, one we've been expecting for quite a while, and we weren't able to pick the individual up, make sure she got to The Afterlife. She refuses to leave the place where she died. She said that an obnoxious winged being slapped her around when she first got in trouble and told her she was his, and that he would personally come for her and take her to hell. She did not dare move until he came because she knew it would be far worse for her if she disobeyed him. She has a mark on her but we can't read it. It has become unclear, obviously someone else's power has disturbed it." Demetrius looked at the messenger in total bewilderment. "That's impossible!" he remarked. "If it was me and I put my mark on someone, it never fades, it never becomes distorted! But I believe I know who you are speaking of. We should have enough power in your area for me to deal with something like this. I won't be in the material realm that long. I'd better go fulfill my promise. Can't have me breaking my word."
He quickly followed his worker back to the west coast and found the woman, now appearing barely a teenager, cowering in the corner. "Get up!" he snapped. The woman rose. "I had no idea," she moaned, "it would hurt this bad. Please get it over with?" Demetrius held out his hand and opened a portal to The Afterlife quickly drawing the woman in. She began to sob heavily, but managed to speak. "Before you destroy me," she moaned, "can you take me to Sharon just for a moment? There's something I'd like to say to her." "Reasonable request!" Demetrius answered, and he took the woman where she wanted to go.
The one she sought approached looking very cross. "What?" she snapped. The woman looked at her. "I heard you tried to help me, you offered mercy. You pitied me. I just wanted to say thank you before it ended. Let's go!" she told Demetrius. They turned around and started to walk off. "One damned minute!" Sharon snapped. "That's it? You say thank you and I'm sorry and you think you're gonna walk off and meekly surrender to the second death? I don't think so! Mine is the greater death here. You may have messed up his glorious plans but you killed me, and I think I have the greater plan. You owe me a thousand years of service! If you'll give it to me you don't have to go poof. You will suffer, you will cry alot, but there'll be people to hold you and comfort you. We've got a lot of work to do. We're trying to save the human race. Every soul We lose hurts Us. I demand my right! I demand your service!"
The woman looked at Demetrius in bewilderment. "I don't understand," she muttered. "She's offering you eternal life," Demetrius answered, "if you will serve her for a thousand years, if you will be absolutely and totally obedient in all things. You'll still be miserable for quite a while, there will be times when you'll have to lie down somewhere and cry for hours, but you will survive. She's offering to shelter you, to block your pain, or most of it anyway."
The woman looked at Sharon. "You're after Charlie, right?" she moaned. "You're going to get him for what he did?" "Absolutely!" Sharon answered. "He is one that won't be forgiven." "O.k.," the woman answered "If you'll answer one question. Why is he," she looked at Demetrius "so particularly irritated with us? There were lots of other people doing bad things. We weren't the only ones. Why was he so angry with us?" Sharon smiled and looked at Demetrius. "Who do you think was the father of my child," she answered, "who was supposed to meet him in the future and do incredible things with him?" "OW!" the woman snapped. "No wonder he wants our damned asses!" She looked at Demetrius. "Did you arrange this?" she asked. "No," Demetrius answered, "had nothing to do with it whatsoever. Strange things are happening. Others are getting involved in things, very powerful others. One of them blurred my mark, I believe so I would have to be summoned and create this possibility. Because only my power combined with Sharon's could accomplish what she wants. No one else would be strong enough. You're extremely lucky! Otherwise than that you'd be a forgotten memory right now. Don't think of thanking me! I'd still fry you, but I have to obey the rules, and if you fulfill them, if you obey her, We won't have any further dealings. Now, if you will excuse me you have to get to work and I still have to find a way to undo the damage that you did. If I were you, I would thank Sharon quite often for the gift that she has given you. For she had every right to demand your eternal destruction."
The woman nodded and Demetrius left. It is little wonder that all are saying he is the current hope that mankind has! Power such as this has never been seen. If he was only one of my children, Jesus' Throne could be easily filled. Unfortunately that could never be. So We must continue to seek others. Such power cannot be denied, few could do these things, very few! If Demetrius could get the courier/protectors, if he could get a little support from the material world there is no telling what We could accomplish! This individual had no hope, none at all. Eternal death was all that awaited her. But somehow through Demetrius' power, she has been given a chance for eternity if the rest of mankind survives. The power of my servants cannot be questioned!
