Poor Demetrius (Speaker Gerald A. Polley), he wanted a quiet day today because it is the anniversary of his People's arrival on Earth, their traditional celebration day. He wanted something happy to celebrate that, and, end the month with. However when he got up he found a video saying that the children who starred in "Slumdog Millionaire" were in danger of losing their trust fund because they weren't going to school and fulfilling its terms. There were also reports that the girl's father had tried to sell her for $250,000. Demetrius thought "Wish there was something We could do," and that was a mistake because he opened a passageway to The Afterlife and the boy's father immediately appeared and remarked "Lord Krishna, please hear the petition of a devoted and adoring son." Demetrius answered "Of course!"
The man then asked of Demetrius that he make his son the Hindu male protector and the girl the female protector, giving them the worlds offered for their services. Demetrius sighed. "Serious problems," he remarked. "Firstly, they're too young. Secondly they don't speak English. Thirdly, the allegations made against the girl's father make it virtually impossible for Us to deal with him. We couldn't possibly associate with someone that would try to sell his child." "Lord Krishna," the man begged, "In these modern times that the children do not speak English can be easliy overcome, and they can easily learn. You insist that all protectors continue their education and achieve their full potential. The authorities can quickly determine that you are worthy, that you would take the best care of the children. Please, make the proposal!"
"There is also a question of obedience," Demetrius replied. "There will be no question of obedience!" the man answered. "When you are made their father the boy will be totally obedient and in a very short time, once he gets to know you, he will love you as much as he loved me, be devoted to his mother, his brothers and sisters as if they had always been his. Their age should not be questioned. Brahma has said We must use all Our resources, and before you speak of it, the other girl will not come forth. She is too lost in her riches, too afraid of facing hardship. She cares nothing about her people and her parents are too selfish to release her to her glory. These two are your best hope. The people already adore them. Half your battle is already won. If the people know of this offer, if they know you can make them gods, give them their own worlds, and take the people to the stars, they will rally to them."
Then the man made a final plea which was almost impossible for Demetrius to refuse. He said "Lord Krishna, you made promises to the people of India as well as to The Children Of Israel. You made those promises to your children in India before you made them to The Children Of Israel. I ask you to give the people of India an opportunity, to give them a chance."
Demetrius sighed. "Very well," he said, "I will give them a chance. If someone in India will make Us the necessary loans We need two-million-five-hundered-thousand, and arrange to buy some of Our material to make into movies and books to repay those loans, I will extend an invitation to these two to be interviewed. If beforehand everyone in India is in agreement they will be able to accept the offer if I give it. But I will have to be fully assured that each understands their responsibilities and the danger. The reward is great, but so is the danger."
The man smiled. "You are trying to be tricky," he remarked. "You believe you are setting forth conditions that cannot be fulfilled, but The People Of India may surprise you. They may want homes in the stars as much as anyone else. they also might want to continue to exist and know full well if they don't help you they won't. I hold you to your word. I ask Brahma to put forth Our proposal."
Demetrius agreed, so here it is! Actually I am taking the liberty of increasing the demand a little bit. I think Demetrius should request a three million dollar loan from the Indian people for twenty years. He is calculating the bare necessities and he should have some reserve. They might want glorification for these children just as much as anyone else. However, a problem might present itself. If the one who was supposed to be the goddess hears someone might take her place she might come forward and say "Wait a minute! I was promised first." A little problem I'm sure Demetrius can deal with. The solution is simple.
