I know medicine isn't an exact science, but when one doctor practically screams at you that something has to be taken care of right now, it can't be put off any longer, and then the next one pokes and prods the area in question causing you incredible pain, then says "I really don't see where this is a problem," you really begin to scratch your head! The service we have had for the most part at MedCenter One has been excellent, but this particular visit was not a pleasant one. The doctor could not understand why we could not afford testing strips for my diabetes, or why I couldn' t have the colonoscopy that he wants me to have. Not that he isn't right, I need it. But I don't have the money, especially now. Wish I did! I guess people that make as much as doctors just don't relate to the people that have very little. It's a simple matter. When it comes to seeing to it that my wife has enough to eat or I have testing strips my wife will eat! If the doctors don't understand that, I think perhaps it's time for me to seek some new doctors. Hopefully before I have another physical we will be able to. But I do want to get the bill caught up with this hospital, and some day from the sales of one of my manuscripts or something, I want to give them a good donation and set up a little trust fund that will give them a little gift every year. I am grateful. After all, they've saved my life twice, if not three times!
The doctor also could not understand why we could not afford 59 cents a pound to buy bananas so I could take my fish oil pills. The fish oil pills deplete your potassium and you have to have the bananas to replace it. Well, it's a simple matter. When you haven't got the 59 cents a pound, you haven't got it, it doesn't matter how much something costs, if the money's gotta go to something else, you haven't got it!
The other day we mentioned in an email to our friends that Hooters should put sculptures of the Hindu goddess Durga in the lobbies of their restaurants with features resembling Speaker Linda Polley. We have been asked "Why Durga?" Because it was said no other goddess compared to her beauty, that she was so alluring that men would follow her to certain death without the slightest hesitation. She was the embodiment of feminine power. They say she was such a great warrioress that she could handle ten weapons at once! Let's just say the lady was formidable and would be the perfect image for our Work! We should also mention that one of her favorite weapons was razor sharp blades attached to the toes of her boots that she had a tendency to put where a man would quickly notice. She got their attention real fast!
Boy, the doctor really stirred something up yesterday with that poking. I can't describe exactly what happened but let's just say he helped relieve some of the pressure. But now, besides the pain I was having which seems to be a little bit less, I have a constant burning all the time, not very severe but noticable. As I say, modern medicine, if it doesn't cure you it will kill you.
If our friend Elgard isn't busy today I'm thinking of having him take me to the local food bank to see if we can pick up some stuff to help us get through. The reserves we have are going so fast! We may have to cancel our internet and our phone by the first of the month. We're trying to avoid it so we can easily stay in communication. However we still don't know for sure if we're going to get the Workman's Comp. My former employer could still find a way of blocking it. That's why we wish we had our own resources. Michael Jackson is irate that we can't sell his new song, "Don't Shiver In The Darkness," or, his tribute to his daughter, while those that are putting out songs telling people to hate are making millions. God is reaching out to people making them phenomenal offers. If we could get a hundred people to cooperate with us we would make them gods, themselves, and send the human race to the stars. Instead we will probably fail.
Michael so wishes we had the funds to offer his daughter the position of the chief Christian protector, who, in essence, would be running the whole program under my direction. He says he brought his children into the world to serve mankind, not to merely seek riches. But he wants them well off so they will have the means to do God's work. He still wants her to be a little bit rebellious if she promises to serve, but still he wants her to serve, and, his sons, both of them. We have everything we need to save mankind, we just need to get it working, but when things like this happen to me and we have no support, our chances of success are very little.
The main thing right now is rather the doctors know what's causing it or not, or can't agree on it, I want as much as possible of this pain to be stopped. I can control and work with certain amounts, but even I have limits as they found out on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when I nerely collapsed on the stage. Don't want to do anything as embarrassing as that again! Next time I try to sing no matter where I am, it'll have to be sitting down to take as much strain off the system as possible. I'm not much of a performer.
