Chapter 2

Connie put their guest in her chair and fastened the strap around her waist, and then took off her handcuffs.
"We're having bison burgers," she announced. "We consider it much better than beef. He has a whole herd up in North Dakota. It's getting so popular we're shipping it all over the world. He's making a fortune!"
They ate for some time. The kids were talking about boyfriends and school when the girl looked up. "Which one of you is Esther?" she asked.
"That's me!" one of the girls piped.
"Did you really," the girl continued, "kick a social worker so hard in the groin they had to castrate him?"
Everyone laughed. "Well, not quite," Esther answered. "I only got one of them. He's still got the other one! But I don't think he'll call me a little religious slut again that let's herself and other girls be molested. I do feel sorry about breaking the policeman's jaw! But when I say I'm not going someplace somebody better not try to make me go! I think they're finally learning that though we're officially father's daughters we're also legally diplomats, and protected by diplomatic immunity. They cannot seize us or question us in any way. The fifty million dollar lawsuit that we won against Maryland has curbed the fanatics considerably! Father put it all in trust for us, added it to our trust funds. I can't believe how much is deposited in my checking account every month now, more than I'll ever need! I do fun things with it, like father does. Some of the girls at school say I should spend it on foolish things, but I think the things they want are foolish."
Everybody laughed again. "You guys are so courageous!" the girl remarked. "Will it cause any trouble if one of the boys gives me what I want?"
"Nobody here will ever say anything!" one of the girls remarked. "Your parents said it was o.k., that if you wanted it, you could have it. If it makes you feel better, if it makes it easier for you to go home, you can have it! Nobody has a right to tell you you can't. The boys aren't that much older than you, and they're gettin' red faced so I'd better stop!"
Everybody laughed again.
"I'm not a prisoner," the girl sighed, "though I have to have this strap around me so I can't get up and run off. You're all so nice to me! You shouldn't be."
"Why shouldn't we be?" one of the girls asked. "There's not one of us that's perfect. Father had to discipline me once, and I learned the rules real fast for two very good reasons; one, it hurt me, and two, it hurt him. And I never wanna do anything that would hurt him. Being nice to you makes him happy. And it makes me happy too. You're going to have a very bad time. But we want you to survive. Because we need every soul we can keep. One of us was supposed to do what Connie does. Father wouldn't allow it, and he managed to get her and Phyllis, who's away right now psychically examining some prisoners in Pakistan. She'll bring that information back to father and he'll use it to help a lot of people. She's a prisoner, too. But she wouldn't do anything but what she's doing. We're a family! We help each other perform their tasks. And I'm blabbering on. But you're here, you need us, and we'll do all we can for you, because that's what father does, and we want to be as much like him as possible."
"Except being sick," one of the boys remarked. "I wish we could help with that more."
"Let's not get into personal things!" he put in. "We pay a price for everything we do. We must be willing to pay that price."
"Yes sir!" the boy moaned.
They finished eating. One of the girls left the table and a few minutes later came back with a cup and gave it to him. The girl looked curious and he remarked "Medication. I swore I would never live on pills but I think there's seven of them in here and there better not be any viagra!"
Everybody giggled again. He took his medication and sighed. "I gotta go back to trying to save the world," he continued. "Never enough hours! I'm going down to the operations room."
"You just want to look down that cute girl's blouse while you're dictating to her!" one of the boys teased.
"Now, you know," he told him, "I've made her button her blouse!"
Everybody laughed. They went into the livingroom and got involved in a game of cards. About seven Shahid came up. "Father told me you are in need of my services," he remarked. "I would be highly honored! And I promise I'll treat you with the deepest respect. I don't like that you have to be restrained, but if you don't object eight o'clock? I have to be to bed by nine...school day."
The girl blushed, and answered "I'll be ready!"
About seven thirty Connie took her down to her room. "I have to be restrained?" the girl asked.
Connie nodded. She got out the restraints and fastened them to the bed frame then got her ready.
"There!" she remarked, "You can cuddle a little bit but you can't get your hands together to do anything serious."
"There's just one thing," the girl asked, as the covers were put over her, "well, two things, really. Why bother to cover me? And secondly, he's the biggest boy."
Connie laughed. "Well to the first part of your question, " she answered, "so he can have the pleasure of slowly uncovering you, and secondly, though he's the biggest in stature his brother is far more endowed for his age. He'd be almost as bad as his father!"
