This is an interview with the Spirit of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
His answers are channeled through Speaker gerald A. Polley. We wish to
thank Dominie Kazutoff of Grand Rapids, MI, for sending in the questions
for this interview.
1. Greetings, Mr. Roosevelt. Was your demise entirely from natural causes?
There is suspicion that poison may have been involved.
A. I am afraid my demise was from altogether natural causes, though I hate
to end mystery and questioning. It was simply a matter of a tired body whose
time had finally come, and which said 'at last I will do no more.'"
2. How do you view the world situation today, and what can we here on Earth
do about it- how can we best help?
A. I would say the world today is in a bit more of a mess than when I walked
among you. As to what you can do about it, each man and woman must strive
to do that which is right according to the judgment of their conscience and
take the counsel of The Almighty, whatever they perceive him to be. There
are some that say I was responsible for the present conditions because it
was I that made the country weak by making the people too dependent on the
state, and not on themselves. I disagree with this. All I ever sought to
do was to see that each American had a place to sleep, enough to eat, and
hope for tomorrow. If this is wrong, then the whole idea of America is wrong.
The people must stop blaming the government, and start working with the
government to solve the nation's problems and we can never turn our backs
on others in need. No man is free while his brother is enslaved. That is
all I can say.
3. Money and power talk, and no one listens to individuals, or so it seems
sometimes. Please convey my regards to your wife, Eleanor. I heard her
speak once and greatly admired her. Life wasn't easy for either one of you,
but I believe you both did much good here. In the Ra Material it was mentioned
that you and your wife had an assignment (as it were) from another place,
and worked at this project while you were here. How would you help us along
at this point in time?
Eleanor sends you her regards, also, and is pleased that you remembered her
with such kind words. Yes, we had a mission; it is the mission that every
human being has during their lifetime; that they do as much good for their
fellow beings as they can, to oppose hate, to destroy greed, to see that
each person has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. Each of
us has this mission, and I disagree with you, ma'am, every person's voice
IS heard. It might not be heard by the multitudes, it might be heard by
only one child, but if that child is taught well, IT may someday speak to
the multitudes and its words will be the reflection of the one that taught
it. I pray only that my words were spoken well enough that at least one
heard, and will follow in my footsteps.
The following questions were contributed by The Polleys.
4. There is some belief that you knew of the impending attack on Pearl Harbor
and could have warned our forces in time to prevent the disaster that occured
there, but did not do so, so you could have an excuse to get The United States
into World War 2. Is there any truth whatsoever, to this idea?
A. Absolutely NONE! It is true I wanted The United States to get into the
war, and was looking for an opportunity to arouse the people to the threat
of the Axis, but I would not, and I could not sacrifice so many of America's
sons to such a purpose, or so weaken our naval forces as to put serious doubts
on our eventual victory. I knew the Japanese were planning some move, I
alerted our forces to this possibility, but that they could attack Pearl
Harbor was as much beyond my belief as anyone else's. And I was as stunned
as anyone when word came of the attack on December 7th.
5. What do you do now in The Spirit World?
A. Talk a lot! I am still quite in demand for lectures. I speak at least
once or twice a week, and also give interviews to members of the press.
I also have a young man who I watch over eight hours a day, trying to give
him the benefit of my spiritual wisdom. He is currently a politician in
some part of the world; I will not mention where. And I will say, I am quite
proud of his efforts. And I hope someday he will be in a position to do
much good for the world.
6. Will you be available for more questions later?
A. I do not really think so. I think I have already answered everything
that would be of any benefit to ask me. And my schedule does not permit
me to depart too often on even such pleasant excersions. Of course, if it
was something really important I might be willing to give forth a few words
But I believe the world should be left to the living. Though we can help
them, it is they, not us, who must solve its problems. And I would prefer
not to interfere too often, but to let mankind learn the lessons he must
learn, or perish.
