GO TO THE LIGHT

Go to the light
There you will find your life;
As the beams reach out in blissful radiance,
Peace beyond understanding is yours.

 

Go to the light
Which illumines and invigorates
Each conscious thought;
Now is the time to live life in a new way.

 

Light is the guide
You need no map to chart the course;
You are the way

 

Go to the light
Life's journey stretches on
For when darkness clouds the eyes
Yet a new vision has come.

 

 

 

CAN YOU BELIEVE?

The dawn holds a promise,
And hope for my soul.
That I'll survive many years,
And won't let my heart grow cold.

 

Can you believe,
in those unseen
Like you have hope
In what had been.

 

Why have we been,
Playing foolish games?
Without you by my side,
I have no face or name.

 

I was born in "Chi" town,
You can see it in my eyes.
A little girl, left behind
By someone's alibis

 

I recall a hospital,
Down by Lake Shore Drive,
A young mom, who gave up,
A part of her own life.

 

I've been trying to find her,
The one I left behind.
Could she believe
Her child, conceived,
Has her heart, so kind.....

 

 

LOOKING BACK

Of what is and what is not seeing;
To look into the distant revolving mists of sound,
And to know where the mind stops to abound:
That the fingers touch, the nearly frozen ground;
And when you touch, it's not there to be found;
And you reach into the voids of confusion;
Only to be drawn to the bitter light of illusion;
And look back at the one that is looking back
at you;
That's when you realize, that the one who is
looking back;
