OUR READERS WRITE

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Polley,

I feel some doubts concerning the validity of the Messages you have received, in particular from Brigham Young and Muhammed (to whom Gabriel revealed the Koran, only a portion of which has survived.)
I would like to hear more from the spirit identifying himself as B.Y., to see if I can discern whether he really is B.Y., or an impersonating spirit. If you would like to ask the spirit identifying himself as Brigham Young some questions, you might try these;

1. Was the Adam-God doctrine in the Journal of Discourses merely your personal opinion, or was it, as you said of all of your sermons which you allowed to be published, revealed to you? If revealed, by whom?

2. How do you feel about present Church leaders saying that your sermons and statements on the Adam-God doctrine were "taken out of context" and/or misreported or suffering from typographical errors, or were merely a "theory" rather than taught by you as actual doctrine?

3. Did you and do you believe blood atonement should be applied against thieves?

4. Do you still believe that Salvation is through the crucifixion, or do you now beliee it is through the resurrection?

5. Do you believe Jesus' original mission was to die, or was that a later change in his mission?

6. Over a hundred different present-day denominations trace their beginning to Joseph Smith, Jr., and the Book Of Mormon. Do you believe the division in the church was a result of failure on the part of the members in 1844?

7. Do you see any one of those divisions being more :"true", more good, more valued by God, or more effective, than the others?

8. How will the divisions reunite?

9. Do you continue to believe that Satan will never be restored? Do you still believe he is a brother of Jesus?

10. Joseph Smith Jr. said that anyone who pretends to teach that the devil and his angels would be restored was not of the Spirit of the Lord. He further said, that the destiny of the devil and his angel would never be revealed "save to those who are made partakers thereof". Since you did reveal certain things concerning the destiny, dissolution and recreation of the devil and his angels, does that mean you are a partaker of that same destiny; or was Joseph a prophesying falsely when he said the above?

Thank you,

Dale Milne,

Westminster, CO.
