The first and most important is to learn to visualize. You need to take
about twenty minutes every day to sit quietly and close your eyes. Visualize
a special room that is all yours. In it, you must place a comfortable chair
with a panel of switches or buttons on one of the arms. Those switches controle
everything else in the room, the lighting, the movie screen that faces you,
etc.. (Of course, you are mentally putting into the room everything that you
will need as we go along.
And you can add or subtract the items in the room whenever you desire.
It is your room, and it exists only in your mind.
The most important things in that room, besides yourself, is the comfortable
chair and the movie screen. This movie screen is to be your magic screen
on which you can see the future.
Now, what I want you to do, in your mind, of course, is to look at that
movie screen and imagine that you are seeing or experiencing certain things.
Let us begin with tomorrow's newspaper. On your magic screen, see yourself
picking up tomorrow's paper. Look at every detail of that paper. See the
day and stare at the top. Look at the headlines on the paper. Don't be
concerned at the beginning if you don't see everything exactly as it will
be. Remember, you are a beginner and this is going to take some practice.
Another thing that you can do is imagine your favorite passive nature scene.
Imagine that you are in the midst of it, and experience it with all five
of your senses. Look at and appreciate how vivid the colors are. Listen
to the sounds that exist there, the birds, the leaves rustling in the trees,
the sound of the water, the drone of the insects. Reach out and touch a flower,
pick up a hand ful of sand and feel it in your hand, run your hand along
a tree trunk, etc. Smell the fragrance of the air, the flowers, the water.
Pick a piece of fruit and taste it. Experience the entire scene in every
way that you can.
As you sit in your imaginary room, in your imaginary chair, visualize the
home of someone that you know well. Look and see who is in each room. Imagine
what they are wearing and what they are doing. Look to see if there is anything
out of the ordinary that you notice. It would be best if you do this with
the home of someone that you know well so that you can check it out at a later
date.
As you go along, you will think of more things that you can do to help your
abilities to grow.
Keep a record of what you see and expreience. Write things down so that
you can check them out. After awhile, and with some practice, you will begin
to feel confident about your abilities you can begin to take advantage of
what you will "know" to be true.
But, you may be thinking, if this can really work, why can't I expect to
be successful every single day? Perhaps you will find that you are one of
those people who can be successful all or most of the time. but I find that
most people have cycles of intuition.
Also, I believe that when we are tired, or when we have alot on our minds,
or if we have not been feeling well, or have been drinking, we are not likely
to be as "tuned in" as at other times. That's why I suggest that you pay
attention to the special times when you are right.
Of course, you can use the same method that I have suggested here for any
type of venture that you may have in mind, whether it is to help you visualize
a job interview that is coming up, or to take a look at a situation that you
want to be prepared for, or even for seeing what tomorrow's number will be.
it is important for me to tell you that this method works best of all if
you do it everyday and at the same approximate time everyday. To learn a
new behavior, or for that matter, to learn any new skill, it is important
to practice and to keep practicing. That old addage that practice makes perfect
is true no matter what skill you set out to learn. And this one is really
worth it because with just a little time each day and very little effort,
it may really pay off for you in many ways. GOOD LUCK!
