OUR READERS WRITE

Here is our answer to the letter from Dale Milne, Westminster, CO, featured in our last issue.

Greetings, Dale Milne!

First of all, let me assure you that all our Spirit Contacts are authentic. If there is any problem with them, it is because of my small talent and my inability to get a clearer contact.
Brigham Young was very upset about your comments and did not want to answer your questions, saying 'If he did not believe me before, he will not believe me now. So why should I bother? If he knew me truly, he would know these words spoken by you were from me.' But convincing him that your doubts were understandable and only proper, I have persuaded him to answer your questions. As to the Adam-God doctrine, question #1 ,
"All that I wrote was revealed to me by the Spirit that God, in His Infinite Understanding, gives us all, so we may understand His Wisdom. For without it we would understand more of His Glory. I believe it is soundly based in scripture made clear to me by The Spirit.
'As to question two, I think very little of the leaders of today. They put far too much of their own feeling into the Church and have wandered far from The Prophet. I regard them with little authority or respect.
As to number three, I believe I have answered this question twice before. If you had read what has been you, you would KNOW my answer.
As to question number four , I used to believe that salvation was through the resurrection in being made one with Christ. However, I now believe salvation is through life and teachings. That if we follow what we have been given we will be saved.
As to number five, The Christ knew from the moment of his birth how his mission would end. He came to fulfill the prophecies and end the need for sacrifice, the shedding of innocent blood.
In answer to number six (and seven) Of course! Greed, lust for power and envy crept into the Church founded by Joseph Smith. Others tried to corrupt his teachings, and led many believers away. I recognize only one Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, that one that was founded by Joseph Smith and follows the doctrines that he taught. All others are a falsity, an abommination, and a lie, based on the teachings and ideas of wicked men, not on the truths spoken by The Prophet.
As to eight, only when those deceived by man realize they have been led astray and returned to their Faith founded by The Prophet.
Nine...Satan is a fallen angel, who was once a part of God, as Jesus was once a part of God. So therefore in the true sense of the word, they are brothers, as all men are brothers. I do not believe he and his angels will be restored because I do not feel they would ever desire to be so. But I do believe there will come a time when Satan's children and the True Children of Jesus will live in harmony.Strange as it may sound to you, I can see things in this world you cannot see. I know things you cannot know, nor are you ready to accept. but that does not make them any less the truth, or keep them from coming to pass.
Ten....I never in any of my statements or writings, said or wrote ANYTHING that I felt contradicted anything The Prophet spoke. If you interpret some of my writings as doing so, you misunderstand my meaning. For I have been, in some way, misquoted.
Joseph Smith was my Teacher and Guide and I considered myself his apostle and keeper of his faith. I would not knowingly change anything he wrote, nor would I deny his truth."

Here, Dale Milne, are the answers to your questions. We pray, sincerely, you find them appropriate and satisfactory.

SOMETIME IN 1776 A GROUP OF MEN GOT TOGETHER AND SIGNED A DOCUMENT. WE CELEBRATE THAT SIGNING ON JULY 4TH. LET US NOT FORGET THOSE MEN, OR LOSE SIGHT OF THE REASON THAT DOCUMENT WAS SIGNED. LET US NEVER ALLOW TYRANNY TO RISE AGAIN, NO MATTER HOW NOBLE SEEMS THEIR CAUSE. FOR INDEPENDENCE IS A RIGHT, BELONGING TO ALL MEN, EVERYWHERE.
