IN THE BAHAMAS WITH CATHY & I
                                                                                     By; Miss Linda Ann Andreula

We had just arrived in April 1982 in Paradise Island, the Bahamas. We went down to the pool where the sun rras warm and the atmosphere fit the perfect tropical form. The soft steel drums were playing the perfect callipso sounds. I loved the Bahama-Mama drink, and it looked so mellon-pink. It was college spring break and we went to parties every where, without a care. After fun in the sun we went to our room and we ordered room service...conch chowder stew, that looked and tasted like lobster, too. I showered and put my baby doll pajamas on, and I put white cold-cream on my sunburned face and hot rollers in my hair, and then it was Cathy's turn. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door. I thought it was room service and standing there was the most handsome Texan, Matt Houston-looking man. He wore a white tennis shirt and shorts, and as soon as he saw my white cold-creamed face he just had to laugh. He thought I looked cute! What a hoot! He said his name was Jim, he was tall, dark, handsome and slirn, and he had a friend, DJ, for Cathy. They took us to dinner and dancing. After that we learned the Texas two-step. Romance was in the air and we didn't have a prayer with the two charasmatic Texan land-developers in the Bahamas with Cathy & I.

GAY BASHING IS CRIMINAL
 By; Rev. Speaker Gerald Polley

Anyone who knows me knows I am antihomosexual, that our teachings do not approve of, or in any way condone persons of the same gender having sexual relationships, and that at least three times in my life I have used physical force against homosexuals. But this was when all other persuasion to make them understand that I was not interested in their way had failed, and physical force was the ONLY way to discourage them. There is NEVER any excuse for the deliberate tormenting of homosexuals, or, physical attacks on them merely because they are homosexuals. We must teach our children what homosexuals do is a sickness, and wrong, and not to associate with them, but we must never teach them to hate them, or, to commit acts of violence against them without just cause. We must teach them to gently make homosexuals aware that what they do is wrong, and to steer them away from it. For teaching young children to hate anyone because they are different is wrong. Violence against homosexuals is no different than violence against anyone else, and it must be stopped. Those committing it must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, just as whites who attack coloreds must be prosecuted, or Catholics who attack Jews. Violence is the greatest of all mental illnesses and must be fought whenever it raises its ugly face.

MAY 16th, 1990 Today two friends have journeyed Home to Those Waiting, and in these few words we must say good-bye. Sammy Davis Jr., we will remember the smiles and inspiration. That which you have left behind will not be forgotten; Jim Henson, you brought our dreams to 1ife. You taught us all it's not easy being what we are, but it can be joyous. Thank you. You are now where Kermit can talk for himself, but he will forever speak to us in the words you gave him. Good journey, my friends, good journey!
