he wanted to get up, and went to sleep. He never used an alarm clock- he never had to. He got up in the morning, showered and dressed, and found his visitor setting breakfast on the table. "I hope you like eggs and red sauce,,,, she commented, "it's the best breakfast I know how to make."
65 They were delicious, and Morn let her know. Picking up his school books and board he motioned her to follow. They went down to slave control. Morn put his card on the desk and spoke to the Attendant. "I'm paying this woman's debt. I want her papers in five minutes! MOVE!"
66 The Attendant looked startled but disappeared. While he was gone a husky woman in a Guard uniform came up. All right, you," she snapped, "come along! You're going down to the clinic."
67 Morn stepped around where the Guard could see him. "No, she's not," he growled, "she's going with me. Go about your business."
68 "Yes, Lord!" the Guard snapped, and quickly disappeared.
69 The Attendant returned and handed Morn some papers. "Her release certificate," he said. "Her receipt of payment and authorization for the removal of the tattoo. She's all yours, sir!"
70 Morn made his way to the Temple's beam tube station. The Guard there put up an argument, but finally beamed them up to the shipyards. A startled Red Mountain just about fainted when Morn signed the papers over to him and got back in the beam tube. "I'll expect a letter from you every month," Morn told the woman as he departed. "I have a big investment in you. I want some return!"
71 There were tears in the woman's eyes as she shouted after him, "I will, young Lord, I will!"  Morn got a letter every month for as long as she lived.
72 Morn was a little late getting to school, but that wasn't questioned. His apology was enough to satisfy the Teacher. As soon as he got a break Morn called Fleet
