Eastern Rebellion. A Son Holy, designated
successor to the throne, commanded the Fleet, putting down the
Rebellion.
He told the rebels that if they would surrender, they would be taken
captive and their women and children would not be harmed. However, as
soon as they lowered their shields, he ordered his ships to commence a
full bombardment, destroying the entire colony, wiping out every man,
woman, and child.
19 He returned home, obviously expecting honors. Instead, when his ship
touched down, he was stood against a wall before the Palace, and
burned. A new successor was named in his place.
20 If a Son Holy cannot break his word, even to the rebels, do not
think that you ever can. You are The Glory of Your God. You are also
his Honor. Never, ever, forget that.
21 Now, gentlemen, I wish you luck. I want to see some good grades. I

22 Morn and North led their people out. Morn was worried about North.
He was still in bandages and refused to take any pain drugs that might
dull his senses, as they went through three grueling days of testing.
Simulator run after simulator run, Test sheet after Test sheet, but
finally it was over! And the Cadets waited in the lecture hall for
their results.
23 The great display screen had been lowered, and the Commandant stood
off to one side, as anxious as any Cadet. The readings would not come
in alphabetical order, but in order of grade, the highest grades first.
24 The first name to appear was Morning Star, and when the grades
flashed on the screen every Cadet was on his feet, clapping, and
cheering. In bright red numbers the screen flashed 100%! A perfect
grade; only the third in their history. The Cadets went wild for
