get a few hour's sleep? If I lose you, I've got real problems!"
The Doctor nodded. "That's a request I can easily obey," he agreed.
Morn donned an isolation suit and headed for engineering. As he approached the sterile fields on their side, two of his men met him. "I'm going in to have a talk with these people," announced Morn. "Stay in sight and cover me. If they try anything foolish, give me covering fire until I get out." Both men nodded and took up position on both sides of the entrance way. Morn walked through the sterile field and was confronted by three swords in the hands of rather pale and tired looking Miners "I'm the Commander of this vessel," snapped Morn, "who's in charge here?"
A large man who walked like a military Officer came over from the Engineer's station. "High Mountain," he announced, "I was the Administrator of the colony. What do you want?"
"I want you," answered Morn, "to evacuate this section, return to your pod, and surrender your weapons. "
The man shook his head. "And what will you do if we don't?"
Morn pressed the communicator on his shoulder. "Commanding Officer, Mountain of God. This is Commanding Officer, Son's Pride. Do you read?"
"I read," answered the battleship's Commander.
"Commander," continued Morn, "unless you receive an order from me in five minutes telling you to cancel the order, you will open fire on this vessel with all tubes until there's nothing left but a ball of gas. Do you understand?"
"Message understood," answered the battleship's Commander, "Order being transmitted. Countdown begins now."
"Leave this channel open," requested Morn, "and monitor conversation as witness."
