46 Morn's wife crossed the room and sat down in the chair where Running Fox had been. "How could I have seen him?" she asked, "How could I have heard him speak?"

50 To be sure, Morn reached into his wife's aura and perceived her Eternal Spirit. He thought perhaps she might be a Hashon in a Haven's body, but he was wrong. Her life lie was purely Haven.
51 Morn's wife put her hands together. "Can you teach me?" she asked, "Can you teach me The Hashon Ways?"
52 "You know what would happen," warned Morn, "if we were ever caught, if anyone ever found out...."

54 Morn smiled. "There is little I can teach you that you have not already learned. I will polish your knowledge and make it shine. But for now, I am very tired, and your presence has awoken other needs. Let us go to bed." Morn's wife rose and took his hand, as they made their way to their room.
55 Morn's wife learned quickly, and the extent of her Powers were great. They soon learned that they could speak to each other without words. This got to be a favorite game with them at parties, exchanging comments about the guests or a host which no one else could hear. They had to be extremely careful, though, around North because without even being told, they knew The Hashons had trained him, and he could hear other people's thoughts as well as they could.
