45 Valley Blossom smiled. "Of course I do!" she answered.
46 North pressed a switch and the screen on the wall lit up. Valley Blossom smiled as they watched the scans. "He's got well-developed wings!" she laughed. "He'll fly with you. How's your mother? Her and the Governor's daughter were right beside me. Then there was that awful crash and something hot was laying on my feet and legs. That sweet girl was on the other side."  When she looked to North's face, her expression of joy disappeared. "Oh, no!" she moaned, "No!"
47 North only nodded. "North," pleaded Valley Blossom, "shut the door, please. "
48 North went over and closed the door. For a short time his wife cried, and being a Hashon she did not want others to see her tears. North almost had to laugh when the tissue floated up to her face and wiped her eyes. The things these med coms could do fascinated him!
49 "I am alright now, my husband," assured Valley Blossom, "you may open the door."
50 As he did so, he found the Doctor waiting. "Everything all right?" asked the Doctor.
51 "Yes," assured North.
52 "Then I think it's time for you to leave," the Physician continued. "It'll only be a few more days and you can hold her. Right now she must rest." He walked over. "We wonder why she woke," the Doctor questioned.
53 Valley Blossom smiled. "I felt the presence of the one I love!" she explained. North smiled. "Can I see those scans one more time?" she asked.
54 "Only if you go right to sleep afterwards," insisted the Doctor.
55 "I will," North's wife promised.
56 North waved to her and left. He had to return to the other job he had to do. His mother's coffin was already at the funeral parlor, and friends were coming,
