visit.
151 He split his crew up into search parties and they made random
checks of everything without warning. One afternoon Morn was checking
the farms on the top of one of the cities when he noticed one of the
Hashons, who appeared to be working, but it was obvious to Morn he was
actually standing guard. As Morn approached, he appeared to knock the
dirt off his tool by banging it several times against one of the dome's
supports.
152 Morn appeared to move off and the Worker again cleaned his tool,
giving a slightly different signal. Morn circled around,
spotted another guard, but avoided him, entered further into the farm.
In a cleared area waiting to be replanted, a group of Hashons were
gathered. Morn recognized what they were doing immediately.
153 The youngsters, two girls and two boys, were receiving The Bread
and The Wine, becoming adults. Just as the ceremony was finishing Morn
broke cover and one of the women gave a startled cry. The others turned
to see him approach, terror filling all their faces except for the old
man, who was leading the ceremony. "Be at peace," announced Morn, "for
The Lords are with me, and I mean you no harm."
154 The old man nodded. "I know who you are," he remarked, "and your
words I believe. What service can I do you?"
155 "I wish," continued Morn, "that you grant unto me what you have
given these young people. Make me one with my Mother's kin. Give unto
me Their flesh and Their blood, that I may be unto Them holy."
156 "You are unto Them," answered the old man, "holy already. That
cannot be made greater. I can make you ONE with Them, but you know you
cannot serve The Lords, and still serve the God of your Father's
people. A man cannot serve two masters. He must choose greater
