morning every seat at the parade grounds was packed. Every bus that could squeeze into an air space hovered over it, looking like great steps climbing into the air. The rumor was out. Everyone suspected what North suspected.
He proudly marched his crew onto the parade grounds, and as the loud speaker announced each man's name and decoration, North proudly pinned the medal on, and saluted each Officer. When he was done, he expected some Admiral to come forward and present him with some medal, but instead the loud speakers spoke out, "Northern Star, present yourself before The Lord God."
As it was some distance to where The Lord God's throne had been sat, North prepared to become air borne, but an Officer stepped up to him and said, "Walk up, sir," North nodded, crossed the field and started up the steps as The Fleet Anthem roared from the loud speakers.
Suddenly one Officer leaped to his feet and started applauding. Within moments everyone there was applauding and cheering as North made his way, step by step, to The Lord God. Finally, he stood before the throne and went to kneel, but The Lord God suddenly turned his hand, palm up, a signal that North was to remain standing. North nodded in acknowledgement, as The Lord God rose from his throne and stepped down.
Two Officers came forward carrying black cushions covered with cloths. The Lord God nodded, and the Attendants drew back the covers. North had expected to see The Star Of The Empire, but what he saw on the other cushion took him completely by surprise!
The Lord God reached up and undid North's Command Tags. "Before I present the award," he announced, "I must give another well-deserved honor. By the authority given me by The Holy Spirit, I make you, Northern Star, General Of The Fleet, Commander Of Commanders, and assign you to The Northern District."
