41 Morn backed away from the desk and knelt down. "I swear," he pledged, "when the time comes that you have appointed, I will do what I must do."
42 The Lord God smiled. "Good, my son, I will transmit your orders by direct communique tomorrow so that all beneath you will know without question, that you obey my Divine Will. Now until what you must do is done, let me not see your beloved face again."
43 The screen went blank and Morn returned to his desk. This was not like his father. In the last few months his communiques had been showing signs of disturbance. They seemed confused and repetitive, as if The Lord God had not remembered his previous orders.
