80 There was moisture in Spearina's eye. Both North's wives cleared their throats almost in unison, and North looked up to see them shaking their heads. He nodded in acknowledgement to their unspoken message. "Ladies," he instructed, "take Spearina for a walk. Where are the children?"
81 "They ran to their rooms," explained Sweet Cloud, "when the commotion began. "
82 "Gather them up," ordered North, "take them with you."
83 "I do not wish to leave," objected Spearina.

85 Escorted by the ladies the children appeared. Spearina rose clenching her fists in rage. As North's wives approached, she unclenched her hands following them out the door, looking back once over her shoulder. "We'll be in the park," remarked Valley Blossom. "Before you make any decision, there is something you must know, something else that occurred before they arrived. Kindly make no decision until you have spoken with us."
