saved the boy, but the woman was dying. She hung to life; but barely. The child within her, too, was near death. Fortunately there are those among our people that raise their children without a mother. When they heard, they came quickly, and snatched the child from her body moments before she died. But as they began to care for it, they found something was wrong. The child was not developing properly.
98 While the grieving Lord buried his son and tried to save the mind of his second son, now locked in the horror of what he had done to his brother and mother, those caring for his daughter devised a way to save her. She grew normally for a day or two, and then was put in suspension for months until the poisons in her body broke down. Then, again she was allowed to grow and the process was repeated. What should have taken place within her mother, in a few months, took nearly four years!
99 Her father never forgot her. Weekly he received a report from those who faithfully and tenderly cared for her. Finally one day, no report came, but a Nurse entered his house carrying a small, warm bundle that moved slowly in her arms.
