26 Every Spirit with Morn drew their weapons and
they charged through the door. North watched the battle as The Lord
Gods were slowly driven back. "Give me a pack of crystalline charges,"
North screamed. "You stay here. Have everyone else get back!" The Squad
Leader acknowledged.
27 In The Holy Of Holies a path had been cleared to its entrance and
slowly, as if being held back by some unseen force Morn mounted the
steps. He was almost at the curtains when something emerged, something
so hideous and disgusting North wanted to look away. It held up a
twisted, scarred arm, pointing a hand at Morn from which fingers blood
dripped. "Go back! " it screamed, "Go back! I am The God of this world,
The Maker Of All Things, the rightful Ruler of all the universe. Before
me you are nothing, you are an insignificant child, a rebellious
servant. Go back, before I destroy you!"
28 "It is I who will destroy," screamed Morn, "destroy forever!" He
started forward and The Lord God made two flicking motions with his
hand. Morn's weapon and shield flew away.
29 "What will you fight me with?" the scarred, sore-covered creature
screamed, "What will you fight me with?"
30 "The things you cannot stand," answered Morn, raising his left
hand, which began to glow brightly, "Love," Morn cried, ''and the Light
from his hand spread down his arm, "Truth," Morn cried, taking another
step, and the Light now covered the top half of his body, brighter than
ever. "Justice," Morn cried, mounting the final step. Now The Light
completely covered him, and it was hard for even North to look upon it.
31 The creature before Morn seemed to wither, shrink, and try to back
away, but Morn seized it, threw his arms around it, and dragged it
back, down the steps.
