command of these last ships, the last remnants of
our Forces. I wish a cease fire. It is time we stopped killing each
other, and started cooperating with one-another. I offer you peace."
31 North and The Voice looked at each other. "Are you surrendering?"
North asked.
32 "NEVER!" The Lord God snapped, "But, I think it is time we accept
the existence of each other and agree to let the others live on in
peace, to pool our resources so that we all can survive and this
conflict can come to an end.

relative position. Let us talk."
34 No one on the command deck could believe their ears, The Lord God's
statements were so beyond belief. "Then see if he's good to his word,"
suggested The Voice.
35 "Helm," North ordered, "shut down all drive but be prepared to move
out again at a moment's notice."
36 The three great warships came to a dead stop and moments later the
two Godden ships followed. The five vessels sat in open space, a great
distance from one-another. "I am glad to see," continued The Lord God ,
"that you can respond to reason. I had begun to think there was no
reason left in any of your people."
37 "You have not given us much opportunity in the last few thousand
years TO be reasonable. Might I remind you that time and time again we
sent messages which I'm sure you received, but which you did not choose
to acknowledge."
38 "My predecessors," The Lord God explained, "were stubborn. They
would have fought to the end of all things, but I have things that are
precious to me, things which I
