her, trying to shield their eyes, but she grabbed a rifle and dropped two of them.
26 More men rushed in and she killed them, also, freeing the rest of us, we seized their weapons, rushed the guards outside, and killed them, seized these trucks, and fled.
27 As we were pulling out of the camp, she jumped up to that machine rifle and emptied its belt into their ammo stores. The place was going up like a Journey Day Celebration when we last saw it.
28 We fought enemy patrols twice, coming out, and took some prisoners. She deserves every honor. I've never seen such bravery!"
29 "I wasn't brave!" insisted Mountain Glory, "It was The Lords Light!"
30 "It wasn't The Lords Light," insisted the man, "when you were firing the machine rifle. The Light had failed by then, and they were spitting bullets at you from every direction. But you kept to your weapon and kept them down long enough for us to board and escape.
31 None of us would have made it if you hadn't. The Lords Light only gave you the opportunity. It was your courage that got us out."
3 2 "Well, however it goes," remarked Gray Boar, "I'm proud of you, young woman, and glad I helped you. The Army's been after me to take an Assistant, an Orderly. Now I think there's somebody worthy of asking for!"
33 The Army didn't even question Gray Boar's request. Barely had Mountain Glory secured her people, than she received orders of transfer. Officially she was Gray Boar's Military Aide and head of his Bodyguard.
34 She looked strange on the grounds of his laboratory in military dress and wearing a pistol, but nobody doubted her skill, or, authority. The Guards jumped at her orders, knowing the result if they didn't.
