hundreds of planes like ours. It looks like they're preparing to attack!
The planes on one side of the runway are loaded with bombs. The planes on the other side aren't. Their old planes are all lined up behind them. Request instructions."
"Gray Boar to Flight Leader One. How close together are the bombers?"
"Wing tip to wing tip," the Pilot answered.
"This is flight two," the radio crackled, "Repeat, this is flight two. We have reached our target. We have the same situation here....repeat, we have the same situation here. Hundreds of planes like ours on the ground."
Gray Boar sat back. "All flights" he ordered, "repeat, all flights, disregard previous orders. First ten ships of each flight attack enemy bombers only, single line over runway, line release, no volley. Repeat, first ten planes attack enemy bombers, line release, over runway, no volley."
One by one the Flight Leaders repeated their instructions, and their first ten planes broke formation heading for their targets. "You see what he's after." said one Flight Leader, "make it work. Get them!"
A few minutes later the speaker blazed with excitement. "Got them!" cried Flight Leader One. "Got them! It worked! Their bombs went off right behind ours. The explosions blew across the runway and got the fighters. There's nothing left! There's just one huge fireball down there! They're running in all directions!" All the flights reported almost the same thing.
"All Flight Leaders," ordered Gray Boar, "all Flight Leaders, one through three take your remaining ships with bombs and head for the other enemy airfields.  Repeat, attack the other enemy airfields. Leave the other ten planes to finish off anything moving! Go! Now!"
