176 As The Oneness Commanders went to send their
orders to attack they heard something strange on the radios. On every
frequency that The Children of Spirit were not singing there was the
sound of a drum being beaten ...the same rhythm over and over again.
"What IS that?" asked the Enemy War Leader.
177 "In the old days," answered one of his men, "drums were used to
signal the troops in battle. That is an old enemy call. It means 'stand
fast, do not yield.'"
178 "Damned trickery!" snapped the enemy Commander. "These Children of
Spirit will try to do anything to confuse you. We won't be defeated by

Children of Spirit's fighters locked in mortal combat, overhead.
Artillery shells fell like rain.
181 Yard by yard they advanced until it was tank against tank, man

left of his shattered armor behind. They did not run far, they regrouped
and the fight continued on, day after day as they were pushed south.
182 The enemy Commander beat his table in frustration. "You are
superior to them!" he cried, "You outnumber them. How can they destroy
you?"
183 "We are destroying them," insisted his Aides, "but for every one of
their tanks we destroy, they destroy ten of ours. For every one of
their people we kill, they kill five of ours. They're crazy! Nothing
stops them! They
