is good feed for my beast, and cool water for our thirst. And
at the end of the day there is always a good campsite with pleasant and
trustworthy company. Oh, let me travel The Road of Your Glory all the
days of my life."
29 For the Boatmen he wrote; "The Lords are the strong hand on my
tiller. Through the thunder and the storm They keepeth me from the
rocks. Their needle never points to a false north, but always guides me
true. Their wind is always behind me, and brings me to Their Home.
30 Though I travel through the roughest storm, Their ship is sound, and
can weather any gale. When at last I see That Distant Shore I will have
no fear, for I know in a safe harbor They await."
31 For the fighting people he wrote; "I am the strength and the Glory
of The Lords. Upon my head They put the helmet of Their Faith, and upon
my chest the Breastplate of Their courage, on my legs They strap Their
endurance, and on my arms Their Divine Protection.
32 They put in my left hand The Great Sword of Their Justice, and in my
right hand the unpassable shield of Their Truth. In the ground beside
me, is the great spear of Their Vengeance, over my shoulder is strung
the bow of Their Might, and in my quill are the terrible Arrows of
Their Wrath.
33 Who can come against me, who can stand against Their Weight? Even if
in battle I should fall, what fear I? The flesh can be destroyed, but
Their Hands shall touch me, and I shall be lifted to Their Glory.
Wondrous is The Power of The Lords!"
34 And many more verses did he write, but these were the ones best remembered.
